What is your least favourite household chore?

I'm sure this has been asked a million times but hey, I'm sat breastfeeding a very hungry newborn and need some entertainment.

What is your least favourite household job? I generally quite enjoy housekeeping and don't mind doing the laundry but I just cannot bear putting clean clothes away. I find it so, so tedious.

Changing the beds. I really have to give myself a kick up the backside to do it, but I love the feeling of climbing into a nice clean bed so it's not all bad!

PinkOboe · 21/05/2019 18:31

Dusting.

firstimemamma · 21/05/2019 18:33

Regular chore - hoovering

Not so regular - cleaning the oven, defrosting the freezer, washing our mattress protector as it needs to be tumble dried at the laundrette!

Corndog · 21/05/2019 19:02

Vacuuming the stairs

Nottobesoldseparately · 21/05/2019 19:08

Cleaning the fridge, I bloody hate it and one of us always manages to spill something in there!

I can't get DH to do it either,as he cleans the oven and hob so I don't have to!

Intothe · 21/05/2019 19:10

All of them!

Cleaning microwave, oven, fridge, saucepans, frying pan, grill pan.
Ironing
Changing sheets
Mopping living room floor (other floors are clear).
Cleaning bath
Cleaning toilet
Cleaning bathroom in general
Washing dishes
Laundry
Hanging clothes out
Cleaning windows
Taking bins out

That about covers it for now.

Leftielefterson · 21/05/2019 19:11

Vacuuming - it sucks! Lamest joke ever ha!

But yeah, vacuuming. Hate it. Have given in and have a cleaner twice a week now

GMtoBe · 21/05/2019 19:14

Cleaning the bathroom. Absolutely hate it. Also cleaning the inside of the windows.

MustardScreams · 21/05/2019 19:15

Picking things up off the bastard floor. It gives me the rage every single time. Anything else is fine and I just crack on, but bending and picking up Angry

Wauden · 21/05/2019 19:17

Washing floors and dusting. Ugh. I do have a dust allergy.

I quite enjoy the whole business of hanging out washing on the line and smelling lovely fresh sheets. I use eco cleaning materials.

Chickenpie9 · 21/05/2019 19:18

Putting laundry away and emptying bins . None of the rest of it really bothers me as long as I have music on

Crazyladee · 21/05/2019 19:26

Putting clean bedding on the beds. Especially the fitted sheet and pulling the corners over without breaking my long nails.

Bringing washing in off the line. I love pegging it out but hate bringing it in!

Cleaning the hob gives me the rage. We've got an eight burner range oven (inherited with the house) and I absolutely hate cleaning the hob part. You have to lift the three heavy grates off, set aside and then try and clean around the burners without the discs toppling off (which is impossible)

BurnedToast · 21/05/2019 19:31

All of it. I absolutley loathe cleaning, but I also feel the same way about a skanky house. My solution is to listen to podcasts whilst I do it.

TildaKauskumholm · 21/05/2019 19:34

Most of it but especially hoovering. Makes me feel grubby and dusty. Don't mind ironing though!

Crazyladee · 21/05/2019 19:35

Another one!

Emptying the kitchen bin.
We have one of those tall skinny ones. The rubbish gets compacted in the liner so much that when it's time to pull the liner out, you could put all your weight behind it and it will still only budge a centimeter at a time. DH says it's like pulling out Thor's sword. We all hate emptying it. The relief when I go to empty it, knowing it needs emptying and someone else (DH) has already done it and I'm faced with a nice empty bin! (I need to get out more!)

DramaAlpaca · 21/05/2019 19:36

Ironing. I hate it.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 21/05/2019 19:39

I'm happy to do most things, to be honest, but I absolutely hate peeling potatoes. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it....

TheRLodger · 21/05/2019 19:40

Changing bed and vacuuming here.

Got put off hoovering because in a past house you had to plug the Hoover in on a different floor otherwise all of the electrics fused. Right ball ache

isseywithcats · 21/05/2019 19:43

ironing

wowfudge · 21/05/2019 19:45

Yes, ironing. I outsource what I can't get away without doing.

Yogagirl123 · 21/05/2019 19:47

Oven cleaning without a doubt.

youkiddingme · 21/05/2019 19:47

I would say ironing, but we gave that up a few years back, never again.
So now, cleaning the bathroom or the oven. Both take bloomin ages for the size of them.

NannyRed · 21/05/2019 19:47

Cleaning the oven, I hate it. Not keen on cleaning windows or blinds either. Windows smear so easily, blinds are so fiddly.

Weirdly, I really enjoy ironing.

schnubbins · 21/05/2019 19:48

Ironing .I absolutely hate it!

Number3or4 · 21/05/2019 19:51

Picking things off the floor. It is so annoying.
