What is your tea bag of choice ?

We do use loose leaf tea but also teabags for convenience . Up til now we have been happy with Twinnings Assam, but lately having been finding them variable and even bland . So asking for a good, strong flavour teabag. Any suggestions ?

I like a clipper earl grey

Farrers' Lakeland Blend (local to me).

Btw I know this is pedantic but it's Twinings, not Twinnings. It's one of those words that seem to get misspelled more often than correctly spelled. It always makes me curious as to whether people are pronouncing it that way or just spelling it that way. It rhymes with linings, not spinnings (not that spinnings is a word Grin).

Twinings English Breakfast here. Or Twinnings as people seem to prefer to call it Grin

Sainsbury's Red Label.

Tesco extra strong.

IndigoSpritz · 11/05/2019 11:26

I've had Bewley's Irish Breakfast Tea just recently. Not bad for a milder brew. However, this was in an Irish-owned hotel chain and I don't think Bewley's Teas are generally available in the UK. I expect it's different in Ireland.

Yorkshire Tea or Assam - have Tesco Finest atm and they make a lovely strong cuppa.

Sainsbury's own brand, brilliant!

JaneEyre07 · 11/05/2019 19:18

Waitrose Essential teabags. We've tried every brand out there and always come back to these! I do like the Clipper green box too, or Fortnum & Mason Earl Grey.

We have PG tips at work, and OMG they are the scrapings from the devils toenails. Absolutely vile.

BooseysMom · 11/05/2019 19:20

Def not Tetley One Cup. They were on offer in Lidl and they weren't lying when they called it One Cup..it's actually more like half a cup!

CatsForLife · 11/05/2019 19:24

Thought it was just me on the Twinings Assam. It’s tasteless now. I like PG and the Sainsbury’s red ones.

DontCallMeShitley · 11/05/2019 20:50

nespresso, Gold are much nicer, but not if you like weaker tea.

roses2 · 11/05/2019 21:39

Aldi red label is my favorite. When they don't have stock in I buy Sainsbury red label which tastes the same.

booksandcaffeine · 11/05/2019 21:42

Yorkshire Tea.
