We do use loose leaf tea but also teabags for convenience . Up til now we have been happy with Twinnings Assam, but lately having been finding them variable and even bland . So asking for a good, strong flavour teabag. Any suggestions ?

Brodie's Edinburgh Tea. Not cheap but substitutes are not tolerated in this house!

BesselVanDerKolk · 08/05/2019 23:40

Yorkshire or Dorset

Nambarrie, maybe only available in N Ireland though?

Robert Roberts extra strong or Barry's black label.
If there's one thing I can't abide, it's weak tea.

I miss PG Tips. I'm in a country where you can buy UK teabags but they're bloody pricey. Also you dare not order tea if you go out here. They have no idea. Good job they do such bloody excellent coffee🙂 but I have to have a mug of builders tea of a morning

happymummy12345 · 09/05/2019 00:25

Tetley. I don't like strong tea either

thefirstmrsdewinter · 09/05/2019 00:28

Barry's in the red box at home and when I visit my mum in the US. When we're in Dorset (ILs live there) Twinings Extra Strong tastes better for some reason.

MissConduct I can buy Barry's and PG Tips in the US. Have you tried the furrin ('international') aisle?

Our Brexit stockpile is more or less a big pile of Barry's. :)

pollywollydoodler · 09/05/2019 00:42

I'll have whichever one Christopher Walken has in the library...

No, I've only looked in the tea and coffee isle, but I will certainly look this weekend in the international isle.

I've always been happy with Tetley and Twining but being on here makes me want to branch out a bit.

Sainsbury’s Taste The Difference...although we decided to try Aldi ‘Emporium’ tea recently, and it’s really nice!

Stravapalava · 09/05/2019 06:41

I like Yorkshire tea. Got to brew it strong though!

boxlikeamarchhare · 09/05/2019 07:00

Williamsons teas are really lovely. English breakfast and traditional afternoon teas are nice for ordinary tea. We drink their earl and duchess grey teas more often than not.

I do have a tin of Yorkshire gold for proper tea drinkers and/or people who don’t care enough to drink Williamsons (like my dad who has it so strong you can stand the spoon up in it).

CarrieBlu · 09/05/2019 07:06

For anyone wanting to buy Barry’s, you can get it from Ocado!

Bloody love Barry’s, tried it on a whim, now all other tea tastes rubbish in comparison!

BellMcEnd · 09/05/2019 07:12

Yorkshire Gold

Heulog · 09/05/2019 07:13

Tesco finest vanilla Chai.

freshasthebrightbluesky · 09/05/2019 07:16

My favourite is Tea Pigs everyday brew but my budget can't stretch to it. Twinings English Breakfast cost £8 for a box of 50 Shock so we get Tesco Finest English Breakfast teabags instead. I like strong tea but Yorkshire Tea is too bitter.

NoClueWithStyle · 09/05/2019 07:28

Twinings strong- when I have these teabags, every cuppa is a "ooh that's a nice cup of tea" experience.

They're in a burgendy coloured box currently on offer in Tesco @ £2.50 for 80.

Yogagirl123 · 09/05/2019 07:30

Lidl Gold Tea - is the best I have found.

MumOfTwoMasterOfNone · 09/05/2019 07:31

Twinings strong breakfast

HomeHell · 09/05/2019 07:32

Tea Pigs every day brew are my dave butbroo expensive for my tea habit. I have them in the cupboard for a treat.

Every day I use Twinnings Strong Breakfast Tea or Clipper from the orange box.

QueenAnneBoleyn · 09/05/2019 07:35

Yorkshire Tea decaf.
I used to buy Earl Grey and Vanilla tea bags but haven’t been able to get them for years. They were lovely.

thesunwillout · 09/05/2019 07:36

Thompsons
Find it in Morrisons, used to be called Punjana. Bright red packet, it's so clean tasting.

Natsku · 09/05/2019 09:17

Twinings Earl Grey, always.
