Hi there Raging! Have you not been to sleep yet, or did you wake up? Any particular reason for wakefulness?

I have slept a bit, been awake for half an hour or so.

ragingchocoholic · 07/05/2019 00:27

Hi bloodybridget! I've not slept at all in over 24 hours, am absolutely knackered, no idea why I can't seem to fall asleep all of a sudden and I have work in the morning. What woke you up?

I'm awake!
I'm normally of the "early to bed, early to rise" crew. I had no idea insomnia was like this Confused

wobblebot · 07/05/2019 00:36

👋🏼 I'm up. Anxiety and tramadol are messing with my sleep pattern. I'm volunteering in a school tomorrow too 😬

Bloodybridget · 07/05/2019 00:37

Oh god, raging that's awful! You poor thing! I take Piriton, the drowsy-making antihistamine, when I'm having a really bad run of nights, and it does help, you could try that tonight maybe? Hope your work doesn't need you to be super alert!

It's nothing unusual for me to be awake in the night, doesn't really matter either as I am old and retired. Hope you can get a snooze before you have to get up. I'm going to try shutting my eyes again now.

Hey people Smile

Zofloramummy · 07/05/2019 00:41

I’m awake because I slept half the afternoon! Post abdo surgery recovery so I’m basically tired all the time. About to try to get comfortable and off to sleep.

I have regular bouts of insomnia though and I find getting out of bed and making a camomile tea helpful.

lastqueenofscotland · 07/05/2019 00:42

My DP is snoring like a mother bitch.
At what point can I throw him out of the window 🤬

wobblebot · 07/05/2019 00:44

@Zofloramummy what surgery did you have?

wobblebot · 07/05/2019 00:45

@lastqueenofscotland I'm impressed he hasn't already been evicted!

flyinghigh1 · 07/05/2019 00:45

I'm awake, I'm on my night shift so wish I could go to sleep 🤦🏻‍♀️

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 07/05/2019 00:45

Now last record him first, a judge won’t convict.

I’d just dropped off when the 1.5yo woke up. He’s incredibly snotty & hot (he’s had a bug since Saturday) but this is the first night he’s woken up Hmm must know I have to be up in the morning.

tablelegs · 07/05/2019 00:46

I can't sleep either

carriemathisonshandbag · 07/05/2019 00:53

I'm awake. Just had to help my elderly neighbour's DD break into his flat. Police did it in the end as my key didn't work, as he had left his key in the door. He's alive thank God, but seriously ill. I'm quite shaken and can't sleep. Just keep thinking about what might have happened.

Zofloramummy · 07/05/2019 00:53

I had my gallbladder removed on Friday, it was keyhole.
I asked if they’d suck some fat out whilst they were there but no joy!

Zofloramummy · 07/05/2019 00:54

God Carrie that’s scary, poor man, hope he is ok soon

carriemathisonshandbag · 07/05/2019 00:58

Feel guilty too, as I noticed he hadn't collected his paper today. That is not unusual as he often goes away for the night and doesn't cancel the paper, but the difference this time was that his car was still here. I just presumed he had gone away and left it. I really really need to be a better neighbour

wobblebot · 07/05/2019 00:59

Oh @carriemathisonshandbag how awful!!

I'm awaiting my second laparoscopy surgery. I still don't have a date yet and my tolerance to opioids is increasing two fold, so therefore my insomnia is too as my doses increase 😔

carriemathisonshandbag · 07/05/2019 01:00

Sorry, I've brought the mood down. This was supposed to be light hearted! I think I'll try my meditation app and see if that does the trick

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 07/05/2019 01:11

Carrie please don’t blame yourself, please. Hindsight is a brilliant thing. You helped his DD when she needed it & I’m sure she doesn’t blame you. Flowers

wobblebot · 07/05/2019 01:14

What bernard said. It's the opposite of your fault

ragingchocoholic · 07/05/2019 01:59

@bloodybridget don't have any of that in the house. Not sure what's wrong with me but just spent the last hour in tears and now feeling a bit lightheaded but still not able to sleep.

@zofloramummy hope your surgery went well!

@lastqueenofscotland I'd have thrown him out by now😁

@carriemathisonshandbag that must have been scary, hope he's ok!

@redredrobins hopefully they'll have him fixed up and with some painkillers by now!

@sparklytwinklyfairylights think anxiety has got a few of ud up, anything you want to talk about?
