Neighbour planted 3 new bushes/trees in my garden!

Came home to find 3 newly planted trees in what is quite clearly my garden as it is my side of the fence!
Am I in my right to pull them out? I don't really want them where they are. Beside the fact that they could've at least asked for permission!!!

MrsBertBibby · 04/05/2019 13:25

OP has succumbed to the savagery of the pyracantha.

FiremanKing · 04/05/2019 13:37

Op’s been busy dealing with her neighbour

Quietlife333 · 04/05/2019 13:42

I would take them out on principle. Bag them up nicely and pop over knock on the door and ask them nicely -hi- did you plant these in our garden? If they set yes, then I’d say- well we do t want them and we also don’t give you permission to enter our property again. Bye bye!

Greenyogagirl · 04/05/2019 13:44

I need an update!

WhatchaMaCalllit · 04/05/2019 15:12

Cherrysoup · 04/05/2019 16:58

Incredibly cf!! I too would be bollocking the gardener. Idiot.

Kerrygirl01 · 04/05/2019 17:27

Move them to where you would want them.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 04/05/2019 17:31

Can't believe the OP asked "Am I in my right to pull them out?" about plants some random person planted in the OP'S garden

billybagpuss · 04/05/2019 17:36

Hope you've had a peaceful day OP. What have you decided to do.

And 3 Pyracantha!!!! They grow huge, I have a single one, I would never have it in a garden with children and it covers one whole wall. Beautiful in the autumn though.

ControversialFerret · 04/05/2019 17:44

I do like pyracantha - it's bloody vicious though. I wear big leather gloves when I prune mine. It's pretty to look at though and the birds adore it. It also fills in a spot in my garden which is vulnerable to people hopping over the fence, so it serves a practical purpose as a security feature.

In OP's shoes, I'd simply pull up the plants and return them to the NDN. If they have large roots in the way in their garden, then that's a problem for them to solve. The answer is not guerilla-style planting in OP's garden!

JaneEB · 04/05/2019 17:44

I would be fuming, they would have been pulled out as soon as I saw them, not least of all because they are not child friendly and they are very badly planted.

What would your neighbour do if one of the kids fell on the bushes?

MrsElijahMikaelson1 · 04/05/2019 17:46

Just checking for an update

Everydaypeople · 04/05/2019 17:47

princesstigerlilly I’m all for getting on with your neighbours but there’s general friendliness and letting people walk (or plant) all over you

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 04/05/2019 17:48

Checking in for an update too

HJWT · 04/05/2019 17:54

We need an update !!

GingerLiberalFeminist · 04/05/2019 17:54

Update required!!!

I'm a fan of the Nicholas Cage option and the naked gardening one. Only I'd go further, hack down the hedge and sunbathe nude all summer
