Neighbour planted 3 new bushes/trees in my garden!

Came home to find 3 newly planted trees in what is quite clearly my garden as it is my side of the fence!
Am I in my right to pull them out? I don't really want them where they are. Beside the fact that they could've at least asked for permission!!!

If they had an issue with your hedge etc there are appropriate ways to address that... this isn’t one of them.

Jungfraujoch · 02/05/2019 18:18

Your neighbours are odd!

Disfordarkchocolate · 02/05/2019 18:19

Your gardener is a bit if a wimp too, ask him to take them out and not do work in your garden without your permission. If they want more privacy they need to plant in their own garden

I would be asking them to get the gardener back to remove them - at their expense of course!

TheGrey1houndSpeaks · 02/05/2019 18:21

That was quick, op. From pondering about it all day long to getting confirmation from your gardener in 7 minutes flat, in the middle of a thread. Wow.

vjg13 · 02/05/2019 18:22

If you don't want them, pull them up and throw over the fence!

AfterSchoolWorry · 02/05/2019 18:25

Everyone hates conflict. You'll have to speak to them.

Joopy · 02/05/2019 18:26

Ask your gardener to plant them on their side!!!!!

Honeyroar · 02/05/2019 18:26

I'm amazed that the gardener would plant them in your garden on their instructions. How unprofessional! And how cf of them.

calistaraines · 02/05/2019 18:26

The grey,

haven't been pondering all day, came home from school run at 520 having left house at 330.
So in space of two hours they had been planted. Also it takes 2 seconds to call gardener especially as I knew he was in the area today!

This is an easy solve.

Phone gardener.
Gardener removes trees and restores dug up ground at his own expense because no tradesman with any sense would take orders from a client to do work on property he knows is someone else's.

Sorted.

AfterSchoolWorry · 02/05/2019 18:28

You'll have to nip it in the bud ! 😜

calistaraines · 02/05/2019 18:29

He is working at ours tomorrow so will remove them.

He wouldn't have the courage to plant them on the neighbours side without permission, clearly thought we were a soft touch

But I'm such a sap

Why on earth would someone pay to plant bushes in someone elses garden?HmmConfused

VisiblyOver25 · 02/05/2019 18:31

Gah.

sackrifice · 02/05/2019 18:31

Dig them up, put them in pots and move them to the back garden and marvel at how lovely they are all summer long. Hang some solar lights around them for the summer evenings.

PutyourtoponTrevor · 02/05/2019 18:32

But why did they tell him to do it?

Bringbackthestripes · 02/05/2019 18:32

he planted them today on the instruction of neighbours.

On their bill I hope. What a bizarre situation.

NorthEndGal · 02/05/2019 18:34

I'd remove them now, and have a firm word

calistaraines · 02/05/2019 18:34

Apparently they don't like that they can see through this trellis

If that's how the gardener works, then perhaps you could ask him to plant a 6 foot leylandi about 6 inches from their front window?
CFs!

MrsMozartMkII · 02/05/2019 18:36

If they no likey the view, why don't they plant trees on their side...?

Beachbodynowayready · 02/05/2019 18:37

Remember not to broadcast that the gardener is coming to sort ya bush out tomorrow!! 😂

7yo7yo · 02/05/2019 18:38

You need to stop being a sap.
Would you let them stay if they moved into your house??
