DD is currently wearing a giant pair of y fronts ( part of a Captain underpants costume). So I would say those!

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 19/04/2019 16:20

MAGA hat

emwithme · 19/04/2019 16:38

A suit of bees

gotmychocolateimgood · 19/04/2019 16:40

Contraversial, but I really don't like bikinis for little children. Swimming costume one piece or tankini is fine.

katmarie · 19/04/2019 16:40

A tshirt that says 'boys will be boys' Ds had two of them, both from bundles of clothes off Ebay. I've donated them.

insancerre · 19/04/2019 16:41

I can’t think of anything
I’m not bothered what they wear and I care even less about what other people think

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 19/04/2019 16:44

A hat made from fishfingers

RubberTreePlant · 19/04/2019 16:46

Anything sexist, anything sexualised, anything tacky.

I don't want them looking like thugs, idiots or strippers.

That might make me a bit of a MC Boden mum but so what?

Fantastic!

I think children may wear pretty much whatever they want... because they're children. I'd be upset if they wanted to wear sweary slogans, or racist/misogynistic crap, but it's not likely, knowing my children.

iklboo · 19/04/2019 16:50

I'm not letting DS wear any of my dresses as he'd look better in them than I do.

SleepingSloth · 19/04/2019 16:51

A certain rival teams football shirt...I won't say which one as it will be easy to guess where we are from. They wouldn't want to wear it now but some relatives thought it was funny to buy them one when they were little.

A bikini. I know they sell them even for babies and toddlers but I don't like it.

Anything with a political message on. Your kids really couldn't care less what your views are.

Heratnumber7 · 19/04/2019 16:52

Football tops
Jogging trousers

Unless they were doing sport.

IncrediblySadToo · 19/04/2019 16:54

Well, they could only access what we own and so I wouldn’t really stop them wearing anything 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had to really work hard on it when those ugly JoJo Bows were the ‘thing’ though. (Given to her by a friend as a present)

Annietheacrobat · 19/04/2019 16:55

Side ponytail. Completely irrational

hazeyjane · 19/04/2019 16:56

Football tops
Jogging trousers
Why? Blimey if ds couldn't wear jogger he's be out in his pants!

Vegisgrowingwell · 19/04/2019 16:57

I saw a child today wearing a full sleeve tattoo thing. Looked hideous and wouldn't want mine to wear it!! I'm not keen on 'grownup clothes on children

Charlottejbt · 19/04/2019 17:01

Agree about not wearing football shirts when not playing football. I also tried to avoid clothes with writing on for DS, but this was hard because we were totally reliant on cheap secondhand stuff, and you can only buy what people sell or donate. Fortunately he didn't really mind what he wore until he was into grown-up sizing, where it's easier to avoid the awful novelty stuff.

Fatted · 19/04/2019 17:03

@Heratnumber7 I won't tell you what my kids are in today Blush They're not playing sport either!

Isadora2007 · 19/04/2019 17:04

Political slogan stuff on young kids. Once they could choose their own clothes they could wear anything.
I dislike tights on baby girls but that’s more a difficulty in dressing issue. Ditto frilly dresses on crawling babies as they’re so impractical it’s cruel.
There isn’t much i would actually ban my kids from wearing though- especially once they’re old enough to express a desire for something.

MrsApplepants · 19/04/2019 17:04

Football shirts. Bikinis before teen years.

Isadora2007 · 19/04/2019 17:05

And my kids live in sports gear too. They are sporty but equally what’s the harm in wearing a football strip when it’s warm instead of other shorts and T-shirts?

nighttimebrowser · 19/04/2019 17:07

Bikinis for girls. Way to sexualised at a young age imo.

HJWT · 19/04/2019 17:10

Bikini, short crop tops before 13, IMO wouldn't let my DD walk round like that.

slappinthebass · 19/04/2019 17:10

These, and similar. Someone brought their toddler to church toddler group wearing a romper that said 'no f*cks given' and I just thought it was so tacky and gross on a kid and I don't even censor my bad language on front of my own kids so I'm not just being a prude I don't think.
