I want a cat, but how do I make sure I get one that’s not an arsehole?

Or are they all arseholes who let you pet them just often enough that you’ll keep feeding them?

Rosie. She’s not guaranteed ours yet, as they’re a bit worried she might be pregnant, even though they’re pretty sure she’s been spade. Going to find out from the vet on Monday.

I have one that makes like a lion along a branch of a small tree that overhangs a pavement. He lays in wait for unwary travellers passing by and chirrup at them as they wonder unawares beneath if they respond with a friendly proferred outstretched hand, he will swipe and bite .

He has never done this to us, only ever been cuddly and attention seeking he's very fucked Jekyll and Hyde type

I have to disagree about ginger cats. I've had two and they've both been arseholes. The current one hates men, when my two adult sons come round he disappears and doesn't come back till they're gone. I've no idea why this is, been neutered and I've got the mum and he was born here, so no abuse there.

Torti's are little buggers. Will not be getting another one. She has caused me so much stress recently. Tabbies are adorable and good natured so if I had another cat would get a tabby.

Their just spirited.

Get a rescue cat. It still might punch you in the face for food at 5am, but it’s likely to love you unconditionally.
