We don't have any, except Easter eggs. Maybe we should - DS is making his first holy communion this year.

thenightsky · 24/03/2019 00:02

I was educated in a religious school and remember Easter as sadness. I actually cried whilst singing There is a green hill far away. What 'decorations' would you use for that? Bloody thorns?

notangelinajolie · 24/03/2019 00:02

What is an Easter deck?

Bunnylady53 · 24/03/2019 00:03

I buy chocolate eggs & send cards but that’s about it. Sometimes do craft with DD although she doesn’t seem as bothered now she’s older.

Parker231 · 24/03/2019 00:05

What are Easter Decks? We’re not church goers and are non believers. The only Easter things we have are Easter eggs and hot cross buns.

Steamfan · 24/03/2019 00:07

never

SpeedofaSloth · 24/03/2019 00:10

When I was a (RC) kid there would be palm crosses.

SusieQ5604 · 24/03/2019 00:11

Right after Mardi Gras Day, when I take down the Mardi Gras decorations! (Its a big partying & parade holiday here in Louisiana!!)

BrusselPout · 24/03/2019 00:13

Who decorates for Easter?? 🤦‍♀️

SusieQ5604 · 24/03/2019 00:13

Some of y'all are kinda mean on here. What's wrong with putting out some bunnies, eggs and Easter grass? My daughter is grown now but she always enjoyed all of the holid

SusieQ5604 · 24/03/2019 00:14

Holiday decorations

Singlenotsingle · 24/03/2019 00:16

I don't know about bunnies and eggs! Christmas merits a navity scene, so wouldn't it have to be a crucifixion scene? Confused

Bananalanacake · 24/03/2019 00:20

in Germany lots of people hang plastic egg decorations on small trees outdoors.

MrsPlesWearsAFez · 24/03/2019 00:23

Whaaaaaaat?

happymummy12345 · 24/03/2019 00:23

I've never heard of such a thing

Redglitter · 24/03/2019 00:23

Oh please tell me this isn't about to become 'a thing's

I've never (thankfully) known anyone to decorate for Easter

Ilovemypantry · 24/03/2019 00:24

Easter decks

What the hell is that?

brizzlemint · 24/03/2019 00:26

As we are atheists, nothing but it'd be rather poor taste to put anything up before Easter Sunday if you do observe Easter.

PickAChew · 24/03/2019 00:27

I don't.

And if you do, Easter is really late, this year. So late, school taxis have been confused and I've had to deal with the beforemath.

Biancadelrioisback · 24/03/2019 00:27

Closest I come is hiding chocolate eggs around the house on the Saturday evening.

wasgoingmadinthecountry · 24/03/2019 00:28

We always had an Easter tree when I was a child - eggs on a willow branch in a pot. And I'm a vicar's daughter so was definitely legit.

No tatt round here. Just the Easter eggs on er... Easter Sunday

bringincrazyback · 24/03/2019 00:29

I've never heard of Easter decorations, but I don't know why people have to be so scathing. Just because the OP wants to do it doesn't mean anyone else has to!

ILiveInSalemsLot · 24/03/2019 00:30

I had to google as I’ve never heard of Easter decorations. There are Easter trees and hanging things, wreaths and bunting, table decorations and even big bunnies for the garden.
Every day is a school day, as they say.

AlexaAmbidextra · 24/03/2019 00:34

Oh ffs. Not something else we’re expected to go OTT about. Easter trees??? 🙄

theworldistoosmall · 24/03/2019 00:34

Did someone mention a tree Grin
