So my neighbours are getting work done again, and as usual they haven't told us (yesterday the work started at 6:30am but that's another story) and today I have gone out ready for my day to see a big fuck off lorry blocking my drive. Knocked on next door. No answer. Fence between us so not like I can even just use their drive to get out!

Crappy diagram attached.

FUMING Grin

I will wager money that your batty NDN told them ^It's fine to park across Tinsels drive , I've cleared it with her"

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 20/03/2019 20:00

Best parking diagrams ever OP

PinkPanther27 · 20/03/2019 20:26

This always happens to me, nobody ever uses their drive Angry

nuxe1984 · 20/03/2019 20:28

When the neighbour confessed to not having the contact details of the workmen, I would have asked her for the money to pay for a taxi to your class.
I assume it's a class you've paid for and are therefore out of pocket because you've missed it?

purplebunny2012 · 20/03/2019 20:52

Well according to a poster on another thread, blocking a drive is perfectly reasonable and you should be asking a neighbour to give you a lift.

Or taking public transport, apparently

TinselAndKnickers · 20/03/2019 21:07

I parked right on the end of my neighbours drive to be a dick Blush not my finest moment but very petty. Edged as close to the pavement as I could! There was my friends car on there this afternoon/evening doing the same thing but on my drive so the work men had to park about 3 doors down Grin

Thanks for all your diagram compliments - I'm going to add it to my skills list on my CV!Wink

Been following this. We’ve had similar recently only with scatty old women. They keep parking in my driveway thinking it’s a public lane and toddling off to the neighbours. How the hell they couldn’t see my house at the end of it I don’t know. It doesn’t go anywhere else. I actually caught them one day as they were leaving the car and I said excuse me, this is private property, please don’t leave your car here, you’re making it difficult for me to get my car out. I got tutting and huffing and rolled eyes and cats bum mouths. It’s my bloody drive!

They leave it in the lay-by now, which in itself is a bit annoying as people seem to like to pull into our lane to turn round in the lay-by and if there’s a car parked there they just turn round in our drive. I’ve also been waved past my own driveway by a woman turning round in it. She got a clear 👉🏻 fuck off out of my driveway gesture. I got a cats bum mouth from her too. Clearly the recognised sign for ‘I’ve been caught out and I’m embarrassed but I’m too rude to wave a sorry so it’s your fault for existing’. 🙄

Great thread! With regard to the blushing problem OP mentioned, recommend green foundation cream put on under normal one or alone. Neutralises red tones well. Boots amongst others sell it.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 21/03/2019 07:42

Call the police. They can access the owner’s contact details and will tell them to move it. We had this happen to us, the police were very helpful.

TinselAndKnickers · 23/03/2019 09:57

Thanks for the foundation recommendation!

Not a parking update, but a cheeky fucking builder one. Yesterday they'd dumped a load of crap on the end of my drive and it blew all over my flowerbed, so I picked it up and put it into next doors bin.

This morning I have gone out to discover they have taken my brown bin (you have to pay extra for these and they don't have oneGrin) and are using it as a bloody stepstool/table?

I have seen men both standing on it and currently a can of Coke is resting in the brand new fuck off dent on the top of the bin Angry

OP posts:
IndigoDream · 23/03/2019 10:16

What did you do about the bin? If you left them to it, they'll see you as a mug.

TinselAndKnickers · 23/03/2019 10:24

I got dressed and then moved it back through the gap in the fence. Have put their coke can on the floor and "accidentally" kicked it over Blush

oldowlgirl · 23/03/2019 10:54

Op - you need to lose your shit with these workmen as they're totally taking the piss out of you now.

CanuckBC · 24/03/2019 04:37

They took your bin off of your property and used it!!! WTF they should know you had to pay for it separately.

Cheeky fuckers of epic proportions🤯

floribunda18 · 24/03/2019 04:58

I would empty the brown bin onto the neighbours drive and take it back.

I'd also have stood outside when they were moving the van and have told them exactly where to park the van - politely at first, and would have told them off for blocking the drive when there was no need to.

RebootYourEngine · 24/03/2019 05:17

You have a right bunch of cheeky fuckers. Twice they blocked your drive and then they stole your wheelie bin. I would be fuming

LifeBeginsNow · 24/03/2019 06:17

Only just read this thread but it wasn't the type of thread to start the morning with! I feel angry on your behalf OP!

seven201 · 24/03/2019 08:20

Off topic, but how did you make your diagrams? Is it an app?

I've been blocked in on my drive before with the blocker in-er no where to be found. So fucking inconsiderate!!! I left a note on the windscreen with a million exclamation marks on. Had an argument with next door's roofer who refused to move his van from in front of my drive. Still makes me angry thinking about that twat! Next door's dad who happened to be there had to step in and get the twat to move his sodding van as he just wouldn't. I'd let him have the 30 mins he asked for but 2 hours later and many 'I'll do it soon' he just refused. Twat.

TinselAndKnickers · 24/03/2019 10:33

All my bins have been moved to somewhere they can't get into now. I went round and made them come and get the dent out of the bin lid and wipe the sticky coke off it. Told them I wasn't happy with a number of things. No apology just grumbling of we will TRY not toHmm

One more week of this apparently - they just offered suuuch a good deal on some other work, according to my scatty neighbour Hmm work that doesn't even need doing!

@seven201 I just screenshotted the notes app on my phone then drew on it in snapchat Grin there are some horrible grumpy bastards out there!!
