Think I look my age, but definitely have more wrinkles since having children Hmm

spanishwife · 13/03/2019 11:59

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha you are welcome.. that is the point of the thread, no? Shared my honest opinion. I wont be sharing a photo as I don't need others' opinions, also like to keep my anonymity ;)

MistressDeeCee · 13/03/2019 11:59

spanishwife really? We are a Caribbean family all very young looking, as said. I often think I can't tell white people's ages 😳 but the pic of Zoflorabore above your post for instance - no way does she look 'much older than age' to me. & I promise I've had my eyes tested...

SurgeHopper · 13/03/2019 11:59

Righto, Spanish wife

SurgeHopper · 13/03/2019 12:00

Course you don't love

Kenworthington · 13/03/2019 12:06

I think I look younger ???but mainly it’s what I wear and if you can’t see my horrific double chin. Generally people are surprised I have a 20 yr olds son. I think. Without makeup I look tired. Just tired.

Do you think you look your age ? Or younger or older
Pinkstraw · 13/03/2019 12:06

I think the occasional person does look a younger especially those who never smoked, drank alcohol or sun bathed but its rare. I can't really tell from the photos here but pretty much anyone I know in real life who thinks they look younger than their bio age tends to be wrong imo. Almost everyone looks at least their age.

Pinkstraw · 13/03/2019 12:09

Ken worthington your skin and eyes are so beautiful. I think you look middle aged though because of your lower face width. If that was slimmer, more V shaped you would look a lot younger.

Your a beautiful woman for sure.

Kenworthington · 13/03/2019 12:10

I def need to lose a couple stone that’s for sure @pinkstraw 😬 hence the head tilt (double chin haha)

Kenworthington · 13/03/2019 12:11

Also- thank you 🥰

wonkylegs · 13/03/2019 12:13

Most of the time younger (just turned 40 and many people were honestly surprised), I've been lucky and taken after my dad who also looks younger than he is.
But if you see me get out of a car or during or just after a bad flare or look at my hands (I have crippling RA) then I look much much older Sad

Tinty · 13/03/2019 12:13

I look younger depending on which child I have with me. If I have 22 year old DS people say, "You're his mum? you don't look old enough!"

If I have 13 year old DD, they say nothing. Grin.

Think I might have another so that I only look old enough to be a mother of a baby, but then they will probably think I'm Grandma. Grin

spanishwife · 13/03/2019 12:13

You have beautiful skin Ken

YouBumder · 13/03/2019 12:13

I would be surprised if people really actually do look younger than they are. I think more it’s hard to guess how old people are with any degree of certainty as they age, and if you ask people how old you think you look they’ll knock a few years off to be polite.

I probably look my age and am happy enough with that.

Kenworthington · 13/03/2019 12:15

Ha yes same here @Tinty Grin

Tinty · 13/03/2019 12:16

Kenworthington

Don't lose weight your skin will look a lot older and you will get lines around your mouth. There is definitely a lot of truth in the face or figure quote, as you get older. You look lovely. Smile

Pinkstraw · 13/03/2019 12:16

Thanks for not taking offense Ken, I work in facial aesthetics so am in the habit of being a bit overly objective! I was a bit Blush when I read back what I had posted.

Kenworthington · 13/03/2019 12:17

I am APPALLING at guessing other people’s ages and without fail always make them about 10 years older than they are! It’s awful. I dread someone asking me how old I think they are. I know the polite thing is to go in low and even if I do that I still end up making them older! It’s embarrassing!

Kenworthington · 13/03/2019 12:19

Well you’d be appalled to hear that not only have I smoked 20 a day for 28 years (though I have stopped now- 3 months ago!), I also use a sunbed 2-3 times a week. I don’t deserve good skin Grin. But the extra weight does mean I don’t have many wrinkles!

CrispbuttyNo1 · 13/03/2019 12:19

I had a significant birthday last month

Do you think you look your age ? Or younger or older
Namechange8471 · 13/03/2019 12:20

I'll be brave!

Do you think you look your age ? Or younger or older
viccat · 13/03/2019 12:20

People certainly guess I'm a lot younger, even in contexts where it is not a compliment, if that makes sense i.e. work, or getting ID'd for something stupid (I got ID'd for having a box of matches in my Ocado order last year!). My mother has always been the same so it's mostly down to genes I think.

Namechange8471 · 13/03/2019 12:21

CrispbuttyNo1 I'm rubbish at this! But mid/late 30s?

Pinkstraw · 13/03/2019 12:22

You can lose weight and keep your face firm with things like microcurrent, radio frequency and dermal needling. None of which are expensive or invasive. Also lose slowly, eat healthy wholefoods with goid fats and good hyrdration and you may not even need treatments. I have seen a lot of collateral damage from very low fat or low calorie diets. Obviously health comes first and I don't think being too thin is helpful but being overweight can make you look older.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 13/03/2019 12:22

I always looked younger, but recently losing a couple of stone really aged my face. Maybe a coincidence, who knows! People are still generally surprised at my age though.
