This summer, they're opening the brand new Paleros Beach Resort on the western coast of Greece, and they're giving one lucky Mumsnetter the chance to go and see what all the fuss is about.

Thanks to everyone who entered - this competition is now closed.

If you missed out this time, Mark Warner have increased their exclusive Mumsnetter discount to 7% until Friday 22 March (simply quote Mumsnet when you book, if you didn't already know).

Plus, if you book before Friday, you can combine the 7% discount with a Mark Warner sun holiday special offer and save up to £200pp on top.

Discount reverts to 5% after Friday 22 March.

Do only white people go on mark warner holidays?

Whistle73 · 06/03/2019 17:00

Tennis for DH, pool and sunbathing for me and DDs.

MakeTeaNotWar · 06/03/2019 17:00

Ohhh looks fab! We'd struggle to get the kids out of the pool but I'd absolutely love to try some of the water sports, to experience something new together as a family

All looks fantastic. My children are super sporty so would be in their element trying out the watersports and would love the cycling. Swimming, fitness and time in the sun. Sounds a perfect balance of activity and relaxation for me!

pongopig · 06/03/2019 17:08

Sounds fantastic. We love to be active on holiday, but would also appreciate some relaxing by the pool also! As a family we would definitely go mountain biking/biking, play tennis and go scuba diving. I might leave the water-skiing to my two DS - I tried it many years ago and it was great fun, but not sure if I want to do it now. I might change my mind though, who knows.

As PP mentioned, complimentary beach towels is a great bonus. It seems like it would be a very relaxing but active holiday which would suit us perfectly.

Hello @purpleleotard, we've had a chat with Mark Warner and they've given us a little more information on the things you've mentioned.

The transfer time to the resort from the Airport is 30 minutes, and there is a variety of food to choose from which does include veggie options. The resort has disabled access rooms, but it’s mainly on one level anyway (and if there are steps there are also ramps). The beach itself is accessible via walkways. Finally, all their sailing instructors are fully qualified and have Royal Yachting Association qualifications and lifesaving skills.

Let us know if you have any more questions!

This looks fantastic. I am dreaming now of the pool. I would also love to spend time... eating the cuisine. We would all like to have a go at the water sports and explore the local area. Plus practise our (non existent) Greek! Mark Warner for the win!

SheWoreBlueVelvet · 06/03/2019 17:14

Really? I think it looks gastly.

Horrid square boxes and an overlooked pool.I love Greece and the Greek Islands, I love the sea and I love a holiday and doing things differently.

Blugh. I thought this sort of place had had its time.

Babygrey7 · 06/03/2019 17:18

Sheworebluevelvet, would be funny if you end up winning this Grin

queribus · 06/03/2019 17:20

Looks amazing!

DH would be cycling - a lot. DD and DS would be in the water all time - water sports, swimming, diving - they love it all.

I'd be relaxing by the pool with a good book, and we would all adore the delicious Greek food (and a cocktail or two) in the evening Smile

HelloDoris · 06/03/2019 17:26

It looks gorgeous, my daughter's have never been abroad before so first excitement would be the plane journey. Then once there the girls would mostly spend the week between the pool and the beach swimming and digging and more swimming, stopping for the occasional ice cream of course! I would fill my days (whilst supervising the trouble makers) by getting an early morning jog or swim in before the heat sets in, then spending the day relaxing with books. I suspect the husband would take a fancy to the cycling, plus he'd enjoy a few too many afternoon cat naps I'm sure.

BursarsDriedFrogPills · 06/03/2019 17:31

Love the look of how active you can be here. Would love to get my eldest DC kayaking for the first time!

TheBrilloPad · 06/03/2019 17:32

Oh it looks beautiful. Quite a contrast to the grey rainy day we have today!

My kids are waterbabies, so we would swim swim swim. I would drink a cocktail with lunch, and another at dinner. Then another. I'd go to the spa, and be the fun mum doing watersports too. Bliss.

EskSmith · 06/03/2019 17:34

Sounds fabulous, not sure a week would be long enough! DH & Dd1 would love the idea of sailing Al day & dd2 is desperate to try scuba diving. I'd be mother of the year. Aside from that we look love exploring on bikes and the pools sound lovely.

Batsypatsy · 06/03/2019 17:36

The resort looks lovely. Ive never been to Greece and would love to go. Dd17 and I have had a tough couple of years so first of all we'd relax by the pool, spend some time in the beach. After that we'd have a good look around the area. Mainly though we would take some books and relax and recover and eat nice food!

Smellybluecheese · 06/03/2019 17:37

I’d love to teach my daughter tennis but there’s no way she’d ever get out of the pool. So we’d mainly be doing that.

Wakk · 06/03/2019 17:41

That looks gorgeous. I'd be in the spa, drinking cocktails around the pool and then maybe we would all have a go at the water sports.

It looks like the perfect place to relax and enjoy spending time together.

Atalune · 06/03/2019 18:17

I used to go on holidays similar to this as a child and I have the most wonderful memories from those times, I looked through some old pictures at my mums and it all came back to me!

My dad in the pool playing with us, my mum sunning herself on the lounger. Getting showered and dressed for dinner and that ever present scent of coconut butter!

I would really enjoy the chance to take my kids to an activity based resort with plenty of everything for all of us. My son who is ten would love all the water sports, he would also be making holiday friends and playing football on the beach. My husband and I would be loving the food and the variety, especially the BBQ and the restaurant on the beach. My daughter is basically is waterbaby so we would be in the pool or sea all the time.

I love the idea of this holiday for my family, all wrapped in a bit of nostalgia for me.

Icedlatte · 06/03/2019 18:41

Oh wow, it looks dreamy.

I would love to try out the watersports, and introduce the kids to some new hobbies in the sunshine!

Can't beat Greek food and a glass of wine in the sunshine too.

Hyggeligt · 06/03/2019 18:41

We are a little family - just me and my DD, aged 15...we would go with one of my friends and her DD, aged 15 , they have recently become a little family too, and relish having the experience of a lifetime. Both of the girls love art, and would luxuriate in the surroundings, sketching on excursions in such a beautiful place; we all love to walk so we would explore to our hearts content, on foot and by bike. It would be a perfect way to reconnect with the teens, as well as for them to have on hand company for swimming and relaxing before they hurtle headlong into their GCSE year. For us mums...a chance to press pause, as both of us are full time teachers and lone parents; it would be simply perfect. Fresh food, sunshine, time to read and chat, each share experiences with our children .....and exhale.

Mossiebonbon · 06/03/2019 19:31

Looks fab! Have always wanted to try a Mark warner holiday , a number of friends have been and enjoyed. It looks like a lovely spot for relaxing and activities - cycling is something we as a family all enjoy together and now the kids are 11 and 7 it opens up lots of opportunities for trying new things like the watersports. Agree with other comments, we would def be keen to explore the local area too.

Coffeist · 06/03/2019 19:52

Looks amazing place. I adore Greek food, and here looks like good place to burn it off by cycling, swimming etc. And some relaxing as well Smile

Lepetitpiggy · 06/03/2019 20:00

How fabulous does this look? Definitely cycling, a fair bit of relaxing and a good go at the watersports. I miss being super active with the family - it would be a perfect spot to do some exploring too. Greece is just so beautiful. DD13 would love waterskiing too.

DrCoconut · 06/03/2019 20:01

We are a lone parent family and could never dream of affording this so only one adult would be going. My boys would love swimming and just escaping the cold and grey of the UK for a while.

pussinwellyboots · 06/03/2019 20:13

We love sailing and kayaking as a family, but it would be so much nicer capsizing in warm water for a change! We would also enjoy getting out on mountain bikes and having a go at tennis.
