Really interesting little quiz.
Doesn’t ask for any details so no data harvesting.

It got me down to about 15 miles from where I grew up.

It askes great questions like do door and poor rhyme.

It knew where I grew up. Despite living in Scotland for the last 20 years and incorporating a lot of Scottish words into my dialect, it knew I was from Leeds. That's clever!

NotTheOriginalGreen · 15/02/2019 13:19

It was accurate for where I was born even though I grew up elsewhere. I guess my parents had a lot more influence on the way I speak than my peers

CherryBlossom23 · 15/02/2019 13:21

My map won't load Sad it's just blank

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 15/02/2019 13:23

Spot on for me.

Sazquatch · 15/02/2019 13:25

Not great for me. Had me as Glasgow but I’m East coast

Monkeybunkey · 15/02/2019 13:27

My dialect is odd, having parents from Lancashire and East Anglia and an accent somewhere between the two. It's almost spot on though, giving me two areas where it thinks I was brought up based on my answers!

GrandmaSharksDentures · 15/02/2019 13:30

Amazing...! Got me & linked to where my parents are from

StealthPolarBear · 15/02/2019 13:31

I didn't get a map

SheisMammyof2 · 15/02/2019 13:34

Really interesting.. it guessed I grew upwhere my mother's from so obviously she had the greatest influence on how I speak. This is most certainly true as she hated the accent where we grew up and was forever correcting us. It worked!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 15/02/2019 13:34

It was about 50 miles off for me, but not bad!

Thisisthelaststraw · 15/02/2019 13:36

Wow! Got where I grew up and where I live now. Fun and very interesting. Thanks OP Smile

User10fuckingmillion · 15/02/2019 13:36

It said I was either from the Cheshire/Lancashire region or the Wolverhampton area. I’m from Cheshire so pretty good!

Crustaceans · 15/02/2019 13:37

It got me right too.

DaedricLordSlayer · 15/02/2019 13:37

it didn't work I did it twice with my same answers and at the end there wasn't a map for me, it was just blank Sad

does it ask everyone at the end where they were raised?

IamPickleRick · 15/02/2019 13:40

Er no. Not even close.

Raspberry88 · 15/02/2019 13:43

I didn't get a map either...not loading. ☹️

Sukochicha · 15/02/2019 13:44

Got it totally wrong.

However I suspect that is because I grew up in Yorkshire however my dad was Irish/London and my mum was from the midlands. I went to private school and had soeach and drama lessons. Then moved further north. Then moved to London.

So quite a confused accent you might say!

DaphneFanshaw · 15/02/2019 13:45

Pretty close.....Southend / Dover.

FaithInfinity · 15/02/2019 13:49

80 miles off for me! But to be fair, where I grew up is odd - Solihull - my dialect is sort of posh Birmingham so it’s no wonder it was confused really.

bellinibobble · 15/02/2019 13:49

Got me spot on! I love stuff like this.

TheVonTrappFamilySwingers · 15/02/2019 13:51

Pretty rubbish for me - it said Portsmouth or Norfolk. Only been to each place once in my life!! Grew up in a posh town in Kent and now live in SE London. To be fair though I do have 'forrin' parents and husband so maybe that skewed my results.

RiverTam · 15/02/2019 13:54

completely wrong for me, apparently I come from either the West Country (south Dorset/Devon) or the East Midlands. When in fact I'm from London and have never lived anywhere else.

I do, however, have a Scottish mother.

Mewe · 15/02/2019 13:55

Spot on Shock!

ZigZagZombie · 15/02/2019 13:55

ha! I've fucked their algorithm... they're about 500 miles out.
