Really interesting little quiz.
Doesn’t ask for any details so no data harvesting.

It got me down to about 15 miles from where I grew up.

Spot on!

Mynci · 15/02/2019 14:49

My map was very vague - it gave me a general area between blackpool, manchester and leeds!

Ellegeebee · 15/02/2019 14:56

Spot on for me

toomanyofthemnow · 15/02/2019 14:56

Extraordinary. It gave me two places - one strongly where I grew up and one (much fainter) where DH's family hails from. They're about 100 miles apart. I've obviously been married to him for so long I've picked up stuff from him!

happymummy12345 · 15/02/2019 15:02

It said I'm from reading. Not quite, I'm from the east end of London

DerelictWreck · 15/02/2019 15:09

Rubbish! I'm from Yorkshire and it had me as Peterborough!

Malibucyprus · 15/02/2019 15:25

I got Wolverhampton and Manchester. I’m from a town about 20 miles from Wolverhampton.

bellinisurge · 15/02/2019 15:28

I did it. Spot on.

ATailofTwoKitties · 15/02/2019 15:33

It must really like Leeds. It placed me there too.

I'm very much not from Leeds.

ChesterGreySideboard · 15/02/2019 15:50

Sorry for those people not getting the map. I did it on my phone and had to scroll down to the map, it was blank until I scrolled.

DaedricLordSlayer · 15/02/2019 15:58

I scrolled down and down and down then back up............nothing

it did give me a breakdown of areas that words are used in.

MrsCasares · 15/02/2019 15:59

Got me spot on.

MamaLovesMango · 15/02/2019 16:10

That’s really interesting. It calculated where I live now, not where I’m from originally. The past few years must have had quite the effect!

beanaseireann · 15/02/2019 16:18

The map flashed on the screen for about 10 seconds so I was unable to see it . I tried twice Sad

Clawdy · 15/02/2019 16:26

Couldn't see the map at all - really annoying.

midsomermurderess · 15/02/2019 16:27

It located me in 2 possible places, one is right.

beanaseireann · 15/02/2019 16:28

On the third attempt I got a map.
It was correct. Dublin with influence from another part of Ireland where both my parents are from.

ChesterGreySideboard · 15/02/2019 16:35

In the interest of science I have just redo it on my laptop (MacBook with safari) and it worked fine.
On that version I got the option to do an extra set of questions which got it even closer.
That included - what do you call your evening meal! Contentious!

ChesterGreySideboard · 15/02/2019 16:35

redone even, not redo.

Completely wrong for me. It has me in Wales. I'm Yorkshire ( though lived in Liverpool for a few years).

BoswellsBollocks · 15/02/2019 16:46

It got me as just west of Birmingham which isn’t far off, I’m from Shropshire.

edwardcullensotherwoman · 15/02/2019 16:53

Ooh that was good! It zeroed on the town my parents were born and brought up, about 20 miles from where I grew up (but that area was included). Shows how much influence our parents have in language skills!

exWifebeginsat40 · 15/02/2019 16:57

doesn’t it just ping your IP address?

Crustaceans · 15/02/2019 16:58

I don’t think so. I got a cluster around Glasgow (where I grew up) but I don’t live anywhere near there now.

ChesterGreySideboard · 15/02/2019 17:02

doesn’t it just ping your IP address?

Nope. I don’t live anywhere near where I grew up.
