British IS girl "wants to return to Britain"

themoomoo · 14/02/2019 07:26

Said she has no regrets;
Says she's seen severed heads in bins but it didn't faze her.
Says living with IS lived up to her expectations.
Now she wants to come home to Britain as she's 9 months pregnant.

Sounds an ideal member of any sane society

Her child may have two or three claims on citizenship (some countries award by the place you were born, some by either parent, some only by the mother).

But she is British and it seems, only British.

StealthPolarBear · 14/02/2019 10:40

Bob that's what she says

WinterfellWench · 14/02/2019 10:41

Too much political correctness from some.

No wonder the country is in the state it's in.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 14/02/2019 10:41

MarthasGinyard, the Times article says they died of illness and malnutrition.

Neither would seem surprising in the war-torn circumstances. It did say she took at least one child to what hospital there was, but there were no medicines and people were just told to go,home.

IRanSoFarAway · 14/02/2019 10:42

I have just read this online- the fact that seeing a "beheaded heading a bin" didn't faze her says it all.
I would put money on the fact that IS are losing and she is in a camp is the reason she wants to come back-to-back if they had more power she would want to stay. Thos poor innocent babies.

scaryteacher · 14/02/2019 10:42

Itk Has she had hers revoked though, as opposed to forfeited it? iirc the Home Sec can do this.

alwayscrashinginthesamecar1 · 14/02/2019 10:43

Love bomb her? I’ve read some mad shit on here, but that takes the bloody biscuit!

IRanSoFarAway · 14/02/2019 10:43

Back to the UK, not back to back. Funny how the UK is more attractive now.

Sheelala · 14/02/2019 10:43

No way should she be allowed back. Would let a man back in who didn't even repent ? Why should a woman get treated any differently ?

No way. For all those saying she just needs "deprogrammed" have a word with yourself, she is not a machine, people have wildly different views you can't simply "correct" them. This is the sort of rubbish that gives all manner of disgusting behaviour a get out clause "I now see I was wrong ,honest given"

CadburysTastesVileNow · 14/02/2019 10:43

I hope no newspaper pays her for her story

LizzieSiddal · 14/02/2019 10:44

She’s already had two babies who died from malnutrian, so I can understand why she wants to come back. However she should be charged with terrorism offences and the baby taken from her/close SS involvement if she isn’t imprisoned. (Which I hope she is).

wigglypiggly · 14/02/2019 10:44

Is her husband still alive, does he want to come back to the UK too.

ltk · 14/02/2019 10:45

It's not political correctness. It's the law. If she is not a national of any other state, we can't deport her anywhere. Like any other suspected criminal, there are charges and a trial.

All of this is moot if she has no way of making it to the UK. I imagine she would be denied a flight.

Sheelala · 14/02/2019 10:45

IRanSoFarAway

Exactly, she doesn't even have the courage to stand by her choices and now just wants to come back and move on. A traitor to this country and IS.

nomad5 · 14/02/2019 10:45

Certainly the unborn baby's Dutch family should also be involved.

I think the approach here should be for the British and Dutch governments to consider the best interests of the innocent infant, who will be a dual citizen. Basically equivalent to rescuing any British or Dutch child who has been taken away by a parent to a dangerous place espousing a nutter ideology. The child is being held hostage, effectively.

Are we ok with a child suffering or even dying because of a parents' choices?

CameliaCamelia · 14/02/2019 10:46

Oh come on.....she says the babies died of malnutrition.... really?? I don't believe that at all

She can say whatever she likes, nobody can back her up

OrigamiZoo · 14/02/2019 10:46

I got the feeling she thinks she'll be collected and brought back. That won't happen. She needs to find her own way back and take the consequences.

I have sympathy for her being nine months pregnant giving birth in a refugee camp but she isn't the only one in that situation.

She sounds hardened and unrepentant and wanting to have the British way of life now it suits her, with NHS housing and welfare. No, no and no again.

ltk · 14/02/2019 10:48

Would immigration let a man back in? Yes. If he is a citizen of the UK and nowhere else.

CameliaCamelia · 14/02/2019 10:48

Are ISIS not going to pick up on this story and deal with her? Why is she so public about it if they will hunt her down

BlueEyedBengal · 14/02/2019 10:54

She's a big risk and I don't think we can trust she won't be a danger in the future. She also hated this life she had with a promising future in the uk and left and married a fighter that probably killed many many people. And now when it suits ie better health care and probably housing and benefits she wants her old life back with no remorse or guilt off any sort. So no stay where you so wanted to be too late to return.

WinterfellWench · 14/02/2019 10:57

Excellent post @BlueEyedBengal

StealthPolarBear · 14/02/2019 10:57

We're not OK with babies dying because of their parents choices and I do think the baby should come back and be adopted. But across the world babies are dying because of their parents choices, or more commonly circumstances beyond their control. We can only do what we can.

wowfudge · 14/02/2019 10:57

IS have had their grip on territory reduced to a couple of square miles and she stated in the interview that there is corruption in the organisation. Her husband is a pow and she's in a refugee camp. She has no support or backing so I'm not surprised she wants to come - it's going to be a lot harder to be a refugee caliphate citizen elsewhere in the world than come back here. I have little sympathy for her though and do wonder how her parents had no idea what was going on before the three of them left the UK.

WinterfellWench · 14/02/2019 10:58

I don't give a fuck if she is 9 months pregnant either.

Convenient for her to use that as an excuse to be let back into the UK though.

WinterfellWench · 14/02/2019 10:58

@ltk you seem massively defensive of this individual. Are you related to her or something?

She would never set foot on British soil again if I had anything to do with it.

And as I said, yeah I am perfectly aware I don't.

She is not British anymore IMO. I don't care if she falls off the planet. I just don't want her back in MY country.
