I was watching and old episode of Bruce’s price is right on this morning and saw an old work colleague...I texted her and she confirmed it, even though it was nearly 20 years ago...

Have you or anyone you know been on a TV show? And what game show would you love to be a contestant on?

My boyfriend has been on pointless with his dad and one of my old neighbours was on Trisha ( remember that talk show!!)

I would loooove to go on to the chase!

Pal was on Countdown, tried to chat Rachel Riley up, excruciating...

Ffsnosexallowed · 02/02/2019 15:58

Oh and a friend from uni is a director/producer. He hasn't been on himself but has had a couple of programmes on lately - history stuff mostly.

EunikeLavender · 02/02/2019 16:00

Another Chase winner here. We beat The Beast.

Three people I know have also been on and two of them won, I know someone who went on Pointless but didn't win and someone else I know has been on Bargain Hunt.

I've also been in audiences on kids TV. I sat beside the drummer from the band The Railway Children on one episode if anyone remembers them at all (aging myself well here too haha.)

I'm a nurse, we recently filmed a series in my place of work similar to 24 hours in A&E, it will be on tv this summer. For the previous poster who said about consent, our patients were contacted prior to their pre-assessments and told about the programme and they could then consent to being featured. All members of staff and everyone who came into the unit were asked for their consent or if they refused were blurred out or not featured at all.

GinisLife · 02/02/2019 16:22

I was on a newly weds Play Your Cards Right in the mid 80s. We won a Miele tumble drier. Brucie was so lovely and Wilnelia is beautiful.
Some friends were on Couples Come Dine With Me.
Working one Sunday with the tv on in the corner when I heard a voice i recognised. A friend id not seen for years was the companion on A Place in the Sun.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 02/02/2019 16:56

I was in two editions of Home From Home (house exchanging thing on C4)

icebearforpresident · 02/02/2019 17:00

My mum was a volunteer at the Glasgow commonwealth games and was part of a choir made up of the volunteers. They appeared on the bbc Scotland Hogmanay coverage singing auld Lang syne at the countdown to the bells. She was pretty much in the middle of the group andanaged to be in every shot, she was mortified! Also appeared on bbc breakfast with another choir she was part of, a photo of her with Bill Turnbull (who she actually loves) is her most liked Facebook photo by a mile!

My father in law was filmed for an episode of flog it back in 2017, he went to auction and made a bit of cash! Episode hasn’t been on yet though.

LittleSwede · 02/02/2019 17:04

I worked with someone who was on the Weakest Link.

I also went to school with (in the same class) a girl who was in the then biggest soap in my home country (any Swede will know it as Tre Kronor).

My DH is friends with a guy in our village who was a long standing extra on East Enders for many years, he was also in the Onedin Line as well as a Storm Trooper.

Lastly, a childhood friend on mine was on a Swedish reality show. In fact I know two people who've been on Swedish reality shows...

shadypines · 02/02/2019 17:08

DH did a few bits as a child, 'Cheggers Plays Pop' and 'Top of the Pops'.

I was on Terry Wogan (not a phone in it was a proper feature) but his Radio show so not sure if that counts!

Adversecamber22 · 02/02/2019 17:18

DH was on This morning as an expert about the thing that he does. I have been interviewed on regional news and radio regarding campaigning and charity work. His cousin was in one of those emergency room programmes, we never watch stuff like this usually but for some reason it was on. She had got drunk and fallen off a bar stool and was in a&e. His uncle was on who wants to be a millionaire, he didn’t win.

labazsisgoingmad · 02/02/2019 17:34

my step daughter's ex has been on jeremy kyle several times. he has a habit of getting ladies pregnant then sodding off so he keeps being filmed with his latest love interest then coming back with the next girlfriend who is going to change him this is the real thing this time he will never leave me sorry love the last one said that too

DustyMcDustbuster · 02/02/2019 17:37

I was on BBC Scotland for Children in Need, handing over an oversized cheque, then singing with some firemen.

I was also on a news show - BBC or ITV - being asked a political question in a vox pop on Tottenham Court Rd. I’m too embarrassed to tell you the question... & my answer, so we’ll leave it there. Blush

frankie001 · 02/02/2019 17:39

I’ve been in the background on Market Kitchrn and are cheese with Alex James during the break.

Lollicent · 02/02/2019 17:47

My friend's daughters won Pointless. They loved the experience, said Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman were great.

zeeboo · 02/02/2019 17:51

I've been on a bbc daytime programme with work in series 1 and 2.
I've also seen an ex colleague and wanker of this Parrish on Crimewatch. Oh that was soooooo good!!

Cheetahssitonfajitas · 02/02/2019 17:52

Yep. Went on Tipping Point and won 10k.

Cheetahssitonfajitas · 02/02/2019 17:53

(That was a bit outing actually! Blush)

MaudebeGonne · 02/02/2019 17:54

I used to work with a fella that was on Blind Date. He didn't get picked. I worked with someone who won on Deal or No Deal and someone who won The Cube. Both lovely women and was delighted for them. One of my mates is on Gogglebox.

Cheetahssitonfajitas · 02/02/2019 17:55

Ah @msjuniper how funny!

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 02/02/2019 17:59

I was at school with kids who were on Hold tight! and Blockbusters. Worked with a woman who did Wipeout and Family Fortunes.
Was in studio audience for Going for Gold. Know someone who sets questions for University Challenge.
No claim to fame for myself but applying for Pointless with DD is on our bucket list. Bloody love it. Azerbaijan is the in-joke in our house because it's my answer to everything in a geography round. That or Togo. DD usually says Cote d'Ivoire. And Darmstadtium is always my element. We are massive geeks, what can I say? Grin
and a huge crush on Richard Osman which DD threatened to let slip if we were ever on the show Blush

cattaxi · 02/02/2019 18:03

I was on a Welsh tv show about age 10. I got strapped to a giant burger and gunged by Rhys Ifans Grin

RageAgainstTheVendingMachine · 02/02/2019 18:03

Oh and someone I knew from uni was on Blind Date and was just as frigging annoying on that as in real life.
Pal was on Countdown, tried to chat Rachel Riley up, excruciating...
Rachel Riley who goes out with Pasha?!! Glitterball PASHA!!!!
That is a bit cringe...Rachel, would you rather shag this wordy nerd or would you rather continue the horizontal tango with a Russian Pro Wink

EatShitBoswell · 02/02/2019 18:03

"Time Team!

Oooo, that was bugging me..."

Thanks for coming back @TheLightSideOfTheMoon I was talking about this show last week and couldn't think of the name, it's been bugging me ever since!! 😅😂

Madreb · 02/02/2019 18:04

I was on deal or no deal in 2010!

IvyLeagueUnderTheSea · 02/02/2019 18:09

You can all shut up as I shall now win the thread........

I was on Playschool.
