  1. 44 if I can count East and West Germany. They were separate countries the first time I went there.
TraitForTravel · 29/01/2019 01:14

I've been to 54.

Not counting Hong Kong (which was not China when I visited) nor Isle of Man/Scotland/England/Wales/NI as separate countries. 59 if I separate them out.

Sometimes it depends who you talk to. I've been to Tibet if you ask Tibetans but not if you ask the Chinese!

SimplySteve · 29/01/2019 03:28

44 I think. Tunisia the most (x8 or 9). Tunisia and Poland top of my ""favourites"", although I always get a chill describing Poland in such a way (Auschwitz). I'd go and live permanently in Tunisia in a heartbeat.

Top of my bucket list are Israel (Jerusalem), Patagonia (Argentina/Chile), Egypt (Pyramids etc) and Peru (Machu Piccu), although wheelchair will paid to Peru and Patagonia :(

SimplySteve · 29/01/2019 03:33

@Fr3d

St Maarten

Ok, now I'm jealous!

MyOtherProfile · 29/01/2019 07:55

"Sometimes it depends who you talk to."

Exactly. Or when. HK was a separate country when I went, but I guess isn't now.

I've changed planes in Bahrain and Peru and sat in the plane while it refueled in the Seychelles.

Strixaluco · 29/01/2019 08:42

Yes, I went to HK several times before and after handover, so I suppose I should add China to my list.

I also didn't list Channel Isles, IOW, Balearics, Sardinia and Bali separately.

MyOtherProfile · 29/01/2019 08:44

Don't think we could count IOW as a separate country but you could definitely count China.

BikeRunSki · 29/01/2019 08:44

If I never went anywhere else for the rest of my life, I’d like that place to be Antarctica.2ndwould be the Corinth Canal.

Strixaluco · 29/01/2019 08:50

Me neither MyOtherProfile, but lots of PP have ...

HowardSpring · 29/01/2019 08:52

I thought I was well-travelled until I saw some of your lists!!

I get that itchy-feet feeling when I see lists lilke this. Where next??

dellacucina · 29/01/2019 08:54

This is giving me the cold sweats thinking of having to make up a list for a visa application

MyOtherProfile · 29/01/2019 09:29
