Totally frivolous thread. Looking for inspiration of 2019 great purchases (unlike my 2017 spiralizer that is still in the box).

My purchases that I loved in 2018:

Water-Pik (tooth flosser that pulses water onto teeth)

Apple Watch (I love being able to go shopping and not even take out wallet or phone)

Ugg slippers. Fucking excellent things! I have slippers at 2 different jobs (nanny...I don’t work in Tesco in slipper...) and another pair of slippers at home and although nice, none of them are as comfy, warm and comforting as the ugg ones!

cordless vacuum cleaner.

Multi fuel stove! My lounge is so warm and cosy, no more cold nose and toes

My Apple Watch was a present and is worn every day
Bean to cup coffee machine.. Aldi coffee beans are surprisingly good too (glares at Aldi who were out of stock at the weekend).

Aeropress for coffee, it has rendered our Nespresso machine redundant.

Dishwasher. Absolutely in love.

I asked for Ugg slippers at Xmas as heard they were the warmest, their okay but not brilliant for warmth so far.
I was wondering do you find they work best with or without socks?
I’ve been wearing them with socks but have seen some stuff on the internet that to get optimal heat you should wear Uggs barefoot, albeit this info I found was regarding Ugg boots not slippers.

Collapsible reusable cup. My old cup was big enough that I only took it out if I thought I was going to need it, but this one simply lives in my bag.

And washable sanitary towels that feel so much nicer than the disposable ones!

Theconifers25 I definitely prefer them without socks! I can’t say if they’re warmer or not generally because I hate wearing socks and slippers so rarely do but I find them much more cosier when I don’t have socks on

Posted too soon. It's the "fur" one and it's glorious. My house gets very cold and I just whack that on full heat and am toasty. I've saved money on heating so far this winter for sure. The kids have one each too but not the lovely thick furry one I have got . Can't recommend it enough.

I also love our Echo & Amazon Unlimited music. Definitely a Best Buy. I especially love the hands free timers in the kitchen and the shopping list function

Also a long, waterproof & toasty Craghoppers coat, I love being warm and dry
