Totally frivolous thread. Looking for inspiration of 2019 great purchases (unlike my 2017 spiralizer that is still in the box).

My purchases that I loved in 2018:

Water-Pik (tooth flosser that pulses water onto teeth)

Apple Watch (I love being able to go shopping and not even take out wallet or phone)

Imac
Shark vacuum
Dyson airwrap

I also bought and Apple Watch series 4 but not in love with it.

Tom Kerridge recipe book. Lose weight for good. It’s fabtastic, I have SO many cookbooks and use about 2-3 recipes max from each. This one we use 4-5 times a week, and every recipe we’ve done so far has been superb. Really tasty and interesting dishes

winsinbin · 07/01/2019 19:53

Robo Vac = game changer. We divide our time between three houses and there’s one in every house now.

Dyson Airwrap. My hair is soft and shiny and voluminous. I love it. Sadly it’s too expensive to buy more than one.

My DH bought me an Apple Watch for my birthday but I didn’t like it as much as my old Fitbit so it was returned. The guy in the Apple store was amazed when I told him I didn’t like it.

Bean to cup coffee machine

SAAAME
It has a timer on too so I have a jug of fresh coffee every morning waiting for me Grin

Redcliff · 07/01/2019 19:58

Ohhh - a heated throw sounds amazing. Do they have to be plugged in the whole time?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/01/2019 20:00

Kindle Fire to replace my old, super-basic, Kindle. I had no idea that it would be so much better than the old one.

Sheepskin mules (not posh - just John Lewis own brand) - love them. Easy to slip on when I want to be toasty warm, and to slip off when I get all middle-aged and hot!

Greggs vegan sausage roll - very tasty and will make eating on the run every now and then much easier for this very fussy vegetarian!

Hush cropped harem pants - I probably look like a loon in them, but they were so comfortable for summer holiday travel

A couple of spa days - wonderful. I want to do far more of them in 2019!

MrsDeanWinchester75 · 07/01/2019 20:02

Heated throw.

Slow cooker, not bought in 2018 though, I won it 10 years ago and it took until 2018 for me to try it.

golddustwomen · 07/01/2019 20:06

Estée Lauder double wear!!!

Also really like the sound of a heated clothes horse.. might be my purchase of 2019!

thenextsmallthing · 07/01/2019 20:30

A heated clothes horse? Where can I find such a magical thing?

GlitterPixie · 07/01/2019 20:35

Apple Watch an iPad and a shopping trolley Blush the trolley is really like changing!

Riotingbananas · 07/01/2019 20:39

Bamboo socks. Sooo soft.

snozzlemaid · 07/01/2019 20:42

This is the heated clothes dryer I've got
https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7076006
It's good overnight with the cover on but I use it mainly when I'm home during the day without the cover. If you keep moving the clothes around it dries it all really quickly.
It's so much better than having clothes hanging around for days not drying.

BlessedbetheFruitLoops2 · 07/01/2019 20:45

An 8 port charging station. Cheap and simple but so easy having once place for phones/tablets/kindle to live downstairs and never lose charging cables/get them tangled.

Shesellsseashellsontheseashore · 07/01/2019 20:48

Cordless vacuum, Fitbit blaze, HP touchscreen laptop.

wheresmymojo · 07/01/2019 21:02

midsomermurderess · 07/01/2019 21:19
