Totally frivolous thread. Looking for inspiration of 2019 great purchases (unlike my 2017 spiralizer that is still in the box).

My purchases that I loved in 2018:

Water-Pik (tooth flosser that pulses water onto teeth)

Apple Watch (I love being able to go shopping and not even take out wallet or phone)

Nanalisa: what make did you buy please? DH bought me one but it doesn't heat above lukewarm.
My waterpicker is great for between teeth I can't get floss in, but is meant to be used with floss or interdental brushes not instead of apparently.

Fitbit..a great gift didnt know i climbed up the stairs some days 30 times ..

My Joules wellibobs. Impulse buy after seeing them on sale on Amazon and I wore them every day for two weeks after they arrived until I had to go back to work after New Year. Utterly in love!!

Also my hair towel (one of the ones with a little button and elastic to secure it) - so much more comfortable after washing my hair than a normal towel piled up turban style on my head and not being able to move in case it all falls down!

Bean to cup coffee machine. It is no exaggeration to say that I could not live without it.

Snoz · 07/01/2019 18:07

My garden vac. Only used it a couple of times but so much easier to get up all the pine needles. Also my shark vac.

A wall clock with a silent sweep, it was £5 or something from Home Bargains and is quiet it is fab.

But mainly my house, I love my house.

TheRollingCrone · 07/01/2019 18:21

@BartonHollow which blackhead suckered do you have? My dds nose is infested! Are they good for the tiny embedded ones?

SeaViewBliss · 07/01/2019 18:25

Stick blender, can’t think why I didn’t buy one years ago.

Cordless vac.

Chai powder and Barista style oat milk Grin

JcHcks · 07/01/2019 18:27

Heated blanket

Aph413 · 07/01/2019 18:27

Electric underblanket
Cloth sanitary towels
Silicone garlic peeler
Love all of these items so much, especially my electric blanket as we have been without a boiler since October

Pashazade · 07/01/2019 18:32

My Velvetisier (Hotel Chocolat/Dualit) hot chocolate machine. Totally indulgent but by god it makes nice hot chocolate.

gaggiagirl · 07/01/2019 18:35

Cordless dyson
Aeropress
Echo show
Cheap spiralizer
Cloth sanitary towels

Fantasisa · 07/01/2019 18:38

My Chilly bottle, I was the envy of all during the heatwave

blackcat86 · 07/01/2019 18:41

Eufy robot vac. Got it as a black Friday deal and actually don't know how we lived without one. It's really helped keep the floors clean even with a young baby and super fluffy cat in the house. I set it to clean every day when we're out or just stick it in a room and shut the door.

WitsEnding · 07/01/2019 18:44

Water pick
Saucepan lid rack. No more diving into cupboards half way through cooking.

BiglyBadgers · 07/01/2019 18:44

Oh my gosh! I've just googled the velvetiser and now I want one so, so much.

Pashazade · 07/01/2019 18:50

@BiglyBadgers, honestly so worth it. I don't drink coffee or much alcohol so this and ridiculous amounts of tea are my vices 😁

loveliesbleeding1 · 07/01/2019 18:52

My Barbour wax coat,it’s gorgeously warm but not bulky.Probably won’t need another coat for years.I have the Barbour Liddesdale for spring and Autumn. But this one is something else.

wiltingflower · 07/01/2019 18:54

Pumice stone.
Velcro slippers from Bon Marche.
Skirts with pockets.
Loofah.
Ogx shampoo and conditioner.
Sistema box thing with a handle that goes in the microwave. Chosen in red.
Replacement black boots.

Drookit · 07/01/2019 19:02

Ciora berit sheepskin slippers

AnotherBeautifulDayToBeRogelio · 07/01/2019 19:03

I bought about 30 sample packs of loose teas, a beautiful Dunoon China cup and these little tea infusers, which came with teeny drip trays. The little ritual of choosing a tea from my selection, carefully reading the brewing guide, using the little infusers and then sipping from my beautiful cup has brought me great happiness. I'm very easily pleased. Grin

Fantata · 07/01/2019 19:06

wiltinflowers - Velcro slippers? How does that work? Don't you stick to the carpet?

Roomba · 07/01/2019 19:06

Replacement boiler part. After ten weeks of boiling kettles and strip washing everyone, it was bloody BLISS to get in a lovely warm shower and warm my towel in the radiator Smile

After that - my electric blanket. Though it does make it very hard to get out of bed again.

RolandDeschainsGilly · 07/01/2019 19:07

Apple Watch
Cloth san pro - no more itching from disposable pads
Doc Martens - all my other shoes feel flimsy and awful now!
