Who’s the nicest celebrity you’ve met....

Got some inspiration from another thread, so I wanna know who’s the nicest celebrity you’ve met, either at a convention, gig, anywhere really.

Mine had to be Austin Nichols, met him at walker stalker this year, he was genuinely the nicest person, he may have been acting but I don’t even care as he made me feel at ease even though I was terribly nervous. He actually spent about 5 minutes talking to me.

I also met Andrew Lincoln in the stairwell whilst at the convention 2 years ago, he was really nice, asked how we all were.
My brother met and served Katie price and he said she was really nice and polite. He didn’t really like her before but that his changed his mind. I met 2 of the lads from blazing squad whilst Kenzie was in cirque de celebrite, really down to earth nice guys.

Laura Main who plays Shelagh in Call the Midwife. Met her after an event she sang at and she was the loveliest person ever. I'd happened to tweet that I was looking forward to the event and maybe saying hello and she came out in the interval to say hello and then came back after.

And Stephen Tompkinson. Top bloke!

I’ve met lots of footballers as DH works closely with them. The vast majority of them are such sweethearts. I often feel very motherly towards them.

Daniel Radcliffe at a garden party, very polite and down to earth. Two musicians I have met also very polite- Billy Bragg and Ian Broudie.

Exactly as he is on tv, seems quite obvious why he’s universally loved.

I've met lots through work.

Red hot chilli peppers (except Anthony), Prince, David Essex, Cleo Rocas, Brian May, Freddie Mercury, I could carry on but most were lovely.

I find that the more famous (and how they got famous) the less of a twat they are.
One particular lovely memory I have is being a 16 year old and getting lost in the stone doughnut (BBC television centre). Jill Dando walked up to me, linked my arm and said let's get lost and found together. R.I.P.

Met Prunella Scales and Timothy West on a steam boat trip to Devon a good few years ago - she was at the bar to buy drinks but was short of about 10p so we made up the shortfall. They were both very grateful and chatted to us all the rest of the trip.
Didn't meet them on the return journey so never got our 10p back

@evilharpy Dwayne Johnson was genuinely lovely back in his wrestling days, I would hope he still is.

We met them at the theatre a few years ago, they came and sat next to us (ticketed seating) and offered to fetch us drinks at the interval (no idea why!) - I think we had your 10p as we offered them the money beforehand and they declined.

I don't think I've ever met a famous person long enough to figure out thier niceness!! I mean properly famous, as in known by a lot of people in more than one country.

There's some I'd be better off not knowing as I might be disappointed!! Though I imagine David Attenborough has to be nice!!!

Struggle a bit with Anthony Hopkins, due to his treatment and comments about his daughter. Find what I've read about that hard to reconcile with the idea him being a nice person. (Unfortunately!)

Rory Bremner - utterly charming in a very genuine way.

Stood next to Keira Knightley and her husband in a shop queue last year - they could not have been nicer and more polite to the person behind the counter. Seemed really lovely.

i went to school with jack o’connell and still see him a few times a year when he’s around. he hasn’t changed a bit since school - he’s still the same cheeky jack the lad he always was.

Edwina Currie - did a good job of appearing to be delighted to be sat next to me at a fundraising dinner, and fascinated by my humdrum existence. Some idiot came over and made an egg joke (people my age will know why) and I was mortified for her. She came to the work social club for the charity auction afterwards and had a pint. She was absolutely lovely.

Sylvester McCoy gave DS a sweetie at a sci-fi convention, you're meant to queue up and pay to speak to the stars but we were just walking past and DS said hello to him without knowing who he was. So he seems pretty nice.

David Hasselhoff was at a convention we went to recently, everyone who met him said he was lovely.
