Got some inspiration from another thread, so I wanna know who’s the nicest celebrity you’ve met, either at a convention, gig, anywhere really.

Mine had to be Austin Nichols, met him at walker stalker this year, he was genuinely the nicest person, he may have been acting but I don’t even care as he made me feel at ease even though I was terribly nervous. He actually spent about 5 minutes talking to me.

I was on here a few pages back singing Jimmy Osmond's praises. I've just seen on the BBC News website that he's had a stroke while doing panto in Birmingham. Sad

James May - such a sweetheart who happily posed for photos with my DS at an airport. He asked us to cut his ‘bloody awful shoes’ out of the shot - he was wearing sandals. As lovely in real life as he is on tv.

A friend met Lewis Hamilton and said he was lovely, and really focused on the disabled kids she was there with. Said his bum was like 2 firm tennis balls in a silk sack Grin

Elton John

He was lovely to me, can’t say much with out outing myself, but he was fabulous

Gary Player the golfer. No, I’d never heard of him either.

That's just made me laugh as he came up as the correct answer in a trivia quiz we did earlier! My Dad got the answer right as he's sport (espec golf) obsessed, but everyone else was saying 'Who?' Grin

I know nothing about golf but I do know who famous sportspeople are so I know who Gary Player is along with Greg 'The Shark' Norman. I had no idea until I just looked it up why he was called The Shark. I used to follow a player called Davis Milton Love III (the Third) because the name was so funny - it sounded like a parody soul singer like Theophilis P Wildebeest even though he was white.

I absorbed it from having radio and TV stuff on in the background for my dad and brother from the late 1960s.

I am also very good on Olympians - especially the obscure ones like Tamara Press; boxers of various weights (I still remember the time Marvellous Marvin Hagler dropped his shorts with his back to camera to make a weigh-in live on World of Sport at lunchtime. I'd never seen such a magnificent arse and probably never will again) and snooker players (my mum was a big snooker fan and her favourite was Ronnie O'Sullivan).

I'm good at football moments and unbeatable with Derby winners - I love pretty horses.

I know lots of trivial stuff so I'm a good stealth player to have on your pub quiz team in the sports round.

Yes Johnny Ball! Absolutely lovely man. I met him as a child and again as an adult. Totally delightful and friendly.

When I met him, we had tea and biscuits and a lovely chat about lightbulbs!
