Who’s the nicest celebrity you’ve met....

Got some inspiration from another thread, so I wanna know who’s the nicest celebrity you’ve met, either at a convention, gig, anywhere really.

Mine had to be Austin Nichols, met him at walker stalker this year, he was genuinely the nicest person, he may have been acting but I don’t even care as he made me feel at ease even though I was terribly nervous. He actually spent about 5 minutes talking to me.

Angela Rippon and Sir Trevor Brooking

Very lovely.

Daniel Radcliffe, doing autographs after a play he was in. He must have been knackered doing a full hour of meet and greet after two hours on stage but he couldn’t have been nicer.

The late Sir Terry Pratchett was always lovely - met him a few times.

Stacey Dooley

Geoff Capes and Bobby Davro were really normal and friendly when I met them through a work thing. Recently met Adam Woodyatt (he served me a gin from his range) and I didn't realise who he was at first. Very chatty.

David Attenborough. Lovely man. Very polite and friendly. Insisted on paying for lunch despite us having been given money to buy him lunch.
Brad Pitt. So nice and friendly. Very softly spoken. Even angelina was polite and friendly.

CarrieBlu · 28/12/2018 23:45

Tommy Walsh. As smiley and friendly IRL as he is on TV.

BigBumandMumTum · 28/12/2018 23:47

@SerialChangerOfName oh thank goodness. That's the only one I care about Smile

Fizzyboo · 28/12/2018 23:48

Lee Brilleaux, took me out for a curry after playing a gig locally sometime in the late 70s. Lovely bloke, sadly missed by many.

TinselAngel · 28/12/2018 23:51

Naomi from Milkshake and CBeebies. Really genuinely lovely person.

blueangel1 · 28/12/2018 23:52

Brian May, I've met him a couple of times and he's absolutely lovely.

@boohooyouho so glad to hear that Sir David Attenborough is fab!

HalleLouja · 28/12/2018 23:55

I mat Frankie Dettori too and he was kind enough to offer me a line 😂

I declined but he still left a big tip and a bottle of Bollinger!

nancyboy · 28/12/2018 23:58

It’s nice to hear that Brian May is lovely.
I met his wife Anita Dobson recently and she’s equally as lovely.

MyPoodleisWorthTenofYou · 28/12/2018 23:59

Not generally expected also but Simon Cowell was incredibly professional and polite. Behind the scenes, never says a bad word about anybody.

SneakyGremlins · 28/12/2018 23:59

John Partridge is lovely.

Bluesmartiesarebest · 28/12/2018 23:59

Jarvis cocker.

Michael Palin is lovely: charming, intelligent, friendly and unpretentious. Very down-to-earth.

Lloyd Grossman was a huge surprise: totally different to how he comes across on TV, because he was not at all pompous. Also charming, intelligent and friendly.

But I preferred Michael Grin

I met Terry Pratchet once. I was delighted and honoured that he had come to meet us, but found him a little cool and distant. At the time I wondered whether he was very shy. A few years later he revealed that he had Alzheimers, so maybe he was struggling with the beginnings of it when I met him.

Coffeebean76 · 29/12/2018 00:07

Yes to Michael Palin. A true gentleman.
