What are your Saturday plans?

Last Saturday before Christmas woohooo.

I was up at 6 had a brew and amsat on the couch staring into space lol.

Going to make DD2 breakfast, another cup of tea for me and then get dressed.

Got some tidying and sorting and need to nip out before we go to a friends for a little party for the children. Then it's home, throw something in the oven for tea and settle down for a night of Christmas movies and chills. Usually the Saturday before Christmas I'm rushing around doing everything but it's all done this year and I'm feeling very happy with that.

What are your plans for today?x

DH is hungover. Might try and drag him and DCs out for a walk at a local National Trust spot before returning home to flump on the sofa for a week

Your plans sound nice, OP.

mumof2sarah · 22/12/2018 07:28

@sharke I wish I was going for a walk today, fresh air is always a must for me. Sounds lovely, enjoy the whole day and hope DH isn't too hungover all day lol x

Going to work Grin and then a Carol Service tonight. Both should be good (fortunately I genuinely love my job & Saturday colleagues). DH at home getting house ready for drinks party tomorrow.

WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream · 22/12/2018 07:36

I'm in bed currently eating tea and toast and MN'ing while DH is downstairs with the kids and making a start on our epic Christmas house clean I want doing! I'll get dressed soon and go and help.

Then after the big clean is done I'm visiting my ex-BIL to give presents for my nephew. I get on better with the ex-BIL than I do with my sister Sad

mumof2sarah · 22/12/2018 07:40

@Ragwort I love a carol concert... always fill up lol. Enjoy xx

@WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream what a lovely start to Christmas and I love that about your ex BIL I have a wonderful relationship with my ex in laws too, my DD who's 15 always says she loves the fact we can all be in the same room unlike some of her friends families x

Huge tidy up and ironing. Last few presents to wrap. Give neighbour his present and card. Cook a chicken dinner.

rabbitfoodadvocate · 22/12/2018 07:44

A shit-Tom if cleaning and tidying! LIVING IT UP over here!

rabbitfoodadvocate · 22/12/2018 07:44

Urgh. *shit-ton of

Too early.

Juanbablo · 22/12/2018 07:45

Going to Santa's Grotto. Think dh wants a haircut and will make a trip to the tip. Then we have e friends coming this afternoon so that will be nice.

maddiemookins16mum · 22/12/2018 07:46

I have a horrible chest infection and feel awful.
Am on the sofa with tea and MN.
Housework today, some wrapping and supermarket shop (but going at 9pm tonight as its 24 hours).
I also need to make 3 dozen mince pies for after the Church Carol concert tomorrow night but DD has volunteered so might just ler her crack on.

MissSueFlay · 22/12/2018 07:47

We're all doing parkrun (DH, DD and me), then we're picking up the ham I ordered from the butcher. We're off to family tomorrow for Christmas so we need to start packing at some point...!

adaline · 22/12/2018 07:48

Working until 6pm and then the Christmas food shop!

Boatsnack3 · 22/12/2018 07:49

I've been awake since 5.30 which is wonderful because I'm night shift tonight.Angry

My new dining table needs to be built I haven't started wrapping and I'll need to do a shop at some point. I can buy food tonight at work but can't buy alcohol after 10pm so will need to go during the day for wine.

I might not actually make Christmas at this rate Grin

JudgeRulesNutterButter · 22/12/2018 07:50

Lots of baking
Lots and LOTS of wrapping
Some laundry.

Fortunately we have DMIL here who will help entertain the DC so we can get shit done. DH is taking her shopping at some point too- rather them than me!

We are off to my parents’ tomorrow and I cannot wait Grin

chickydoo · 22/12/2018 07:51

Working this morning, then food shop, a bit of wrapping, major house clean, cook dinner.
Would like to find an hour or two to do a little more writing for an assignment if possible.
Also will crack open the mulled wine & stollen later.

WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream · 22/12/2018 07:52

@mumof2sarah it is nice that everything is amicable, it has made seeing my nephew so much easier especially when my sister is a bit of a mess and very unreliable. Have a lovely Christmas 🎄

Sparkletastic · 22/12/2018 07:52

We are unexpectedly in Glasgow for the day. Should have been in the Canaries but we were caught up in the Gatwick drone farrago. Had to change flights to Glasgow airport. Making the best of it with sightseeing and lunch with a friend. All being well we will finally get our Christmas sunshine tomorrow!

happypotamus · 22/12/2018 07:54

Need to wrap things, tidy up so we can actually move in the house (both epic jobs that could take hours, especially with DC around), working a night shift and have been up since 6ish and hardly slept this week so a nap would be ideal.

fleshmarketclose · 22/12/2018 07:55

Expecting adult dc and exh to turn up for brunch then when I have got rid of them all I'm going to clean through the house and probably collapse in front of TV later. Have to fit in walking the dog twice and wrapping a few gifts if I get chance.

Loveweekends10 · 22/12/2018 07:55

Get up
Feed pets - dog cat rabbit
Breakfast just me. Hubby sleeping off hangover from his works do.
Clean kitchen then start on some other rooms.
Make shopping list -send hubby shopping!
Meeting friend for lunch
Start preparing food - curries for tomorrow- having dh family round
Collect daughters bearded dragon - its coming here for xmas (as is she).
6 ish - relax and watch film with dh and dd.

Bezalelle · 22/12/2018 07:55

Synagogue then having MIL over for lunch.

Star Wars marathon continues tonight!

Don't do Xmas so this time of year is just resting and doing fun stuff.

switswoo81 · 22/12/2018 07:57

On sofa watching food network with the baby. 3yo is jumping on very hungover in bed which I am ignoring.
Have to pack to head to my parents for Christmas this afternoon. Hate packing. Then pantomime with my mum and dd tonight . Am tired thinking about it!!

Kim82 · 22/12/2018 07:58

I need to do a top to bottom clean of the house this morning (dh and the two elder dds can help with this so it shouldn’t take too long) and I need to bath the 4 year old. This afternoon I’m taking the kids to my sisters for a couple of hours and then at 4pm I’m dropping them with my mum for the night and then going out for dinner and drinks with friends for our annual Christmas jumper night out. Should be fun.

YerAuntFanny · 22/12/2018 08:00

I have a list which I probably won't stick to

  1. Finish essay
  2. Washing on/hang washing, put away dry stuff
  3. Quick declutter for DH to take to the dump tomorrow
  4. Quick tidy/clean house
  5. Head to town for last few food bits
  6. Take DD to see Santa
  7. Wrap last minute gifts
  8. Have a Bailey's :o
SweetheartNeckline · 22/12/2018 08:01

We're all off to a soft play birthday party... hopefully it won't be too busy! Then we're going for a fuddle at a friend's house - if it's not raining we'll probably walk over. Feeling happy not to have to do any catering today!
