What are your Saturday plans?

Last Saturday before Christmas woohooo.

I was up at 6 had a brew and amsat on the couch staring into space lol.

Going to make DD2 breakfast, another cup of tea for me and then get dressed.

Got some tidying and sorting and need to nip out before we go to a friends for a little party for the children. Then it's home, throw something in the oven for tea and settle down for a night of Christmas movies and chills. Usually the Saturday before Christmas I'm rushing around doing everything but it's all done this year and I'm feeling very happy with that.

What are your plans for today?x

Clean the hallway thoroughly now our new porch is finished (all except the stained glass which is delayed so we currently have attractive hardboard panels ).
Do a couple of hours gardening.
Go to the garden centre and hope it's not jam packed with Christmas shoppers as I want actual gardening things like compost and paving slabs.
Go for a run.
Ask everyone what they'd like to eat for Christmas lunch and perhaps make a shopping list.
Delegate the shopping and much of the cooking.

I don't mind Christmas but I refuse to let it take over more than a couple of days.

Waiting for tea in bed. Husband is running the dog.
Then rush into town to pick up a couple of things.
Tidy away from impromptu supper party after Candlelit Carols last night.
Drive to Salisbury - about 2 hours. Drop daughter and boyfriend to station on the way.
Meet other daughter who did the in laws present shopping for us.
Lunch with in laws. Walk the dog and try in vain to keep him out of the water.
Drive home.
Make mince pies. Start wrapping.

Currently sitting in my PJs. I think I'm in denial or something.

Anyway, food shop arriving between 10 and 11. Final Christmas present due to arrive before midday.

Then cleaning, ironing, bit of baking, running around like mad thing for a bit.

But then I've promised myself I am going to collapse in a star shape on the bed and not move for a few hours.

I was supposed to be working today but have to work tomorrow evening instead.Then I am finished until new year. The upside is we're now able to go to a Shindig with our lovely friends.
Also walking the dogs to the chocolatier to get some decent chocolate in.
Last bit of baking to do.

It's the normal Saturday routine here:
Me cleaning the place,
DH and DS have to do the weekly shop. As most shops close early on the 24th and are closed on the 25th and 26th meal planning is a bit more complicated.
Then I'll put up and decorate my vases (no tree this year), finish our Christmas letter to DMil, make some more brownies and prepare the greetings that go out per E-Mail.
And that's it - house full of people with ADHD / AS brains - so calm, routine and structure here.

Need to get out of bed and off MN! DH and one DS out with the dog. Picking up turkey and last minute bits this morning, then home to finish the cleaning, washing and ironing. Take the dog out again later, then make a curry and probably watch Watership Down. Nag other DS to do some revision for mocks after Christmas, poor lad!

All slightly hungover here..

Just waved off adult SDC, cleaning/tidying up, washing on, more tidying. Then begin writing Christmas shopping list for tomorrow, before heading into the city for panto with DM, DB, DSil and all the littlies, lovely

I'm usually at work from 05:30 every Saturday but today I am not working so making to most of being able to lie in & be lazy! Dcs are currently watching tv, DH about to cook breakfast. Later we are going out for some fresh air - maybe a local forest/park. Dcs have been in the house for 2 days so need to burn off some energy! Will probably stop for hot chocolate & treats too.

I will be writing the Xmas food shopping list at some point and sending DH out to buy it at about 9pm tonight when hopefully the shops will be quieter.

We usually snuggle up for family film night on a Saturday so I expect we will do that with a Christmas movie this evening.

So hopefully a nice relaxed day instead of my usual frantic-busy-at-work Saturday's!

I plan to murder my husband after his disgusting behaviour last night because he was so pissed. I don’t think I’ve ever been this angry with him.
He was supposed to be doing my shopping today but he won’t be safe to drive until tomorrow because he’s a selfish cunt.

I'm really excited about my day I've been up since about 6.30 when DC woke up and have been prepping food for a Christmas dinner we're hosting this afternoon. Then off to a panto, probably get a coffee/hot chocolate in a nice cafe near by, back home to cook said dinner, slight bit of packing to do for visiting family over the Xmas period and probably drinking prosecco whilst watching Christmases TV. Hope you all have lovely days

Woken up very hungover so going to be limited

No longer hosting so don't have too much to do thankfully. Going to force myself to the supermarket and pet shop in a bit and then just laze about

A lovely lazy day for me as everything is done save the kitchen clean which will be tomorrow.
DH is on nights so will sleep all day, ds(16) broke up yesterday after a row of very late nights playing in various concerts and performances so will sleep most of the day, and dd1 is nocturnal (mental health) and also won't appear until mid afternoon leaving me gloriously FREE!!!

think a trip to the coast is called for to look for sea glass

I’ve finally finished up at work (yay!)

Still sitting on the sofa drinking tea. But need to do housework & washing and pack cases as we are going down to the south coast for Christmas. Still haven’t wrapped a thing, either, so will get started tonight (perhaps with a small ).

Laundry. Lots of laundry.
Bath DTs
Quick (maybe not) top up food shop
Put Christmas tree up (yes very unorganised)
Stick some fairy lights up round house
Sort kids toys and do a charity shop run
Get DP to clean the house
Clean the house myself properly
Try and wrap some pressies during nap time
BEDTIME!!!
Chill out tonight with a glass of something lovely and watch a film with DP

Christmas party for DC. Will stay and help.

Early bed as been far too late recently and need to catch up on some sleep.

Taking mum for a fresh food andbooze shop then i have to hoover the stairs and wash floors bet you are all jealous of my exciting day.

I am off to work 11-1, I need to pop argos for a last present, home then back to work 4-7pm, I work every weekend and getting pretty fed up with it now but it fits in so well with the kids.

Oh god I've got so much to do today! Big food shop for Xmas. Full blast of the house before our friends come over tonight. Then wrapping all the presents before goimg seeing the in-laws tomorrow. Still in bed trying to ignore it all to be honest.

In laws are visiting in about an hour i really need to drag myself out of bed then clean the house ready for Christmas followed by a trip to see father Christmas at 3.30.
DC are bouncing off the walls so I just want to hide under the duvet!

Ds has just brought me a bag of sweets , looks like I won't be getting up any time soon!

Had a bit of a lie in today it's quite rare so v nice
Dh and dd at work so just me and ds . I've loads to do washing , cleaning etc .
I want to pop out for a couple of things forgotten . Wrap a couple of presents. I'll need to make a list .
Tonight going out with friend for drinks so should be good

Gearing up for the mega Christmas food shop! We have so far failed to get up early to beat the crowds...I'm having a coffee and a snuggle with my cat on the sofa while the kids get ready (I can hear them playing so it could take a while!)
DH is working, and this evening he is installing our new dishwasher and aircon which will probably involve wine and swearing Then, a zillion gifts to wrap probably with wine and mild swearing
