Gatwick has suspended all flights due to two zones in their airspace. They are now having to find somewhere for numerous planes to land if you want to watch on the app. I'm watching an Easyjet Madrid to Gatwick one. Thought it might land at EMA but it's still going.

Will take a look thanks KenAdams

AlexanderHamilton · 20/12/2018 00:03

Zones in their airspace? Is that a typo for drones?

Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 20/12/2018 00:10

Yes, it's drones.

Fools!

Lokisglowstickofdestiny · 20/12/2018 00:19

Yep, hope it was just idiots rather than someone reconnoitring the area.

brizzledrizzle · 20/12/2018 00:23

Hopefully so, now on FR - thanks for the heads up.

Pavlova31 · 20/12/2018 00:25

Apparently one seen right by the runway Angry

italiancortado · 20/12/2018 00:26

Diverts have gone as far as Paris and Amsterdam this evening!

brizzledrizzle · 20/12/2018 00:27

I saw something about one on/by the runway as well Angry
The next flight due in is Fuerteventura, looking to see where it's going now. I hope, but doubt, they find the culprits. I would say that all drones need to be registered but of course it'd only be the honest owners who would register them - maybe the retailers should have to do it. Not going to happen though!

brizzledrizzle · 20/12/2018 00:28

Thank goodness the French ATC aren't on strike then!

neverbee · 20/12/2018 00:29

My DH would be well into this if he wasn't snoring next to me. How cross do you think he'd be if I woke him up to tell him...?

italiancortado · 20/12/2018 00:34

I notice the Norwegians are showing as landed Grin

They went to Liverpool, Amsterdam, Birmingham and Stansted!

brizzledrizzle · 20/12/2018 00:34

Twitter feed claims four drones
Meanwhile somebody has tweeted and tagged the London 999 service that a baby is being born on a plane - if that's a time waster then it's a poor show.

Go on, wake him up - you know you want to!

brizzledrizzle · 20/12/2018 00:36

Fuerteventura (I'll learn how to spell it by the end of the night!) is heading further north in the direction of Liverpool/Manchester/Glasgow by the looks of it though maybe it will come into Bristol.

italiancortado · 20/12/2018 00:39

The flight from FUE is only just at the bottom of Exeter

brizzledrizzle · 20/12/2018 00:40

Yes, I see that.

SoleBizzz · 20/12/2018 00:42

I am D/L app now

italiancortado · 20/12/2018 00:42

Oh. Ok.

Anyway, they will be pushing for MAN as a divert if they can't get into Birmingham.

italiancortado · 20/12/2018 00:48

Yes it's Manchester for the TUI inbound from FUE.

brizzledrizzle · 20/12/2018 00:49

I suspect they'll be very busy there tonight at this rate.
Thanks for the info.

brizzledrizzle · 20/12/2018 00:51

Just spotted one plane from the Ukraine Air Alliance with no call sign, near the Channel Islands.

italiancortado · 20/12/2018 00:54

Man are not taking him!

brizzledrizzle · 20/12/2018 00:57

Just watching him looping back.

brizzledrizzle · 20/12/2018 00:58

I'll wave hello if he goes over Grin

italiancortado · 20/12/2018 00:58

That's a wee cargo airline
