My 2 year old girl says badminto she means badminton. Also pretty funny is her brave attempt to pronounce my name. In my flat toothbrush is toobrush. She makes me laugh.

Spiderpants · 18/12/2018 16:06

NKFell · 18/12/2018 16:10

@sugarandspicenotsonice I used to call them a bounce-oline when I was little!

This is now the second time I've agreed with a small child Xmas Grin

Oh and I used to say 'the Abdominal Snowman'...I must have either been cute or an idiot! Xmas Grin

Brook1yn · 18/12/2018 17:58

Crackers1428 · 18/12/2018 19:51

My nextdoor neighbor's name is Philip and my DD (2) calls him 'Fillet' - makes me think about steak every morning when she says hi 😂

BikeRunSki · 18/12/2018 19:59

Age 3, DS helped put the “Asians” (decorations) on Christmas tree. He’s 10 now and we’ve had Christmas Asians ever since. I did have to intervene when he started telling his nursery teacher that “Daddy put the Asians in the roof until next year..,”

redredrobins · 18/12/2018 20:20

DS 18 months old, left with neighbour whilst removal men packing lorry. When brought back to empty house " chairs play bee bo! "
Oh so cute.

Bleurgh0 · 18/12/2018 21:43

My three year old but only two at the time) used to pronounce 'unicorns' as 'oonicorns'. She said it like that for months and it was v cute. Then I suddenly realised she's been saying it properly for a couple of days. Half of me was so proud she'd mastered saying it right, half of me want to cry cos I'd never hear her say 'oonicorns' again!

crispsahoy · 18/12/2018 21:55

gonna be quite outing. Ds3 calls nursery, journey.
He also calls shops by their colours, so Asda is green shop, Aldi is orange shop etc.

Effy1990 · 18/12/2018 22:36

My dd is currently 16 months and has started saying hello, however she says it in almost exactly the same way as in the Team America film.

Took me forever racking my brain through all my child friendly films for where I recognised it from, until my dh realised what I was talking about and mentioned it. 😂

YetAnotherThing · 18/12/2018 22:41

My daughter had terrible reflux that went on for years, but used to call her forceful vomiting/regurgitation “spilling”, like she had spilt a drink out of her mouth. Despite the absolute Grimness it always made me smile.

itsbritneybiatches · 18/12/2018 22:53

My daughter has just started to say as we walk out of shops "why haven't you paid for that mummy"

Ffs. I've never stole anything in my life ever. I have paid. It's the whole contactless thing.

firstbrightday · 18/12/2018 23:42

When my niece was a child she heard the word 'song' on the tv, but thought it was 'snook'. It became a family thing- whenever anyone kissed on the tv we'd say they were snooking!

firstbrightday · 18/12/2018 23:42

Damn I meant snog!

LittleLlamaontheduskyroad · 19/12/2018 06:43

DD2 says "I can do it by my own."
DD1 used to call David Cameron "Baby Cameron"!

Fashionista101 · 19/12/2018 09:48

My DS HATES mint flavoured anything.

To brush his teeth he has the baby strawberry flavoured one and he bellows if I try sneak mint on.

Scream, I DONT LIKE ANYTHING MINCEY!!

Spudlet · 19/12/2018 09:51

DS has a speech delay but he signs. I've tried to teach him to sign I love you, but he doesn't do that - instead if you say I love you to him, he signs '[his name] and Mummy / Daddy are friends'. And I melt.

But the cutest thing he's ever said, for the first time a couple of weeks ago, was Mama 😍

He also does a Santa Claus ho ho ho that has definite shades of Jabba the Hutt 😂

LoadOfUtterBoswellocks · 20/12/2018 10:52

DD used to enjoy popcorn. Or as she called it, "Cock porn".

MadeleineMaxwell · 20/12/2018 11:37

DS (3.5) is a proper fruit bat. He's now taken to picking out a tangerine from the net and going, 'look, mum, it the biggest orange in the wooooorld!' and promptly scoffing it.

He knows all the moves and words to the Baby Shark song.

We've also tried to convince him that there's a 'Kev' in Paw Patrol but that he's just constantly out of shot. There are frequent cries of 'no, daddy, no Kev! See? TOLD you!'

TornFromTheInside · 20/12/2018 19:22

"Thanks dad" - He's 26

It never gets old - so you've all got something to look forward to long after they stop being babies :-)

CatLadyToddlerMother · 20/12/2018 19:23

My DD says something is either perfect or dig-dustin (disgusting) depending on what it is.

T-shirt I'm wearing "perfect mummy"
Peas "Dig-dusting mummy"

Freefalling123 · 20/12/2018 19:24

My son aged about 3 shouted in the middle of McDonald’s that he wanted a shitshake Blush
He did get a strawberry milkshake after I got over the embarrassment

MyGastIsFlabbered · 23/12/2018 18:18

DS2 calls Cheddars 'cheesy chatters'

DitaVonPeas · 23/12/2018 18:39

Ds (3) just cried out in pain during dinner, "ouch, they're eating it!"

Me; "Eating what baby? Who are?"

Ds; "my teeth are eating my tongue!"

He'd bitten his tongue.

Strongecoffeeismydrug · 23/12/2018 21:29

Every Tuesday my 4 year old reminds me to take the food out for the bin monster 😂
Refuge collection day to me and you lol
