UhYeahISureHopeItDoes

Best thing I’ve read all day. So emotional.

I’m glad you’re here. Amazing mummy❤️

Phillipa12 · 17/12/2018 00:13

Conversation between ds2 age 4 and ds3 age 3 last week.
Ds3, "No, you and ds1 are not my best brothers, mummy is my best brother"
Ds2, "Mummy cant be your best brother cause shes a girl.......she has to be your best sister"
Ds3, "No, mummy IS my best brother because i love her...... poo poo head"
And then they started hitting each other with dinosaurs whilst argueing over my gender!

willisurvive3under2 · 17/12/2018 00:19

DS (2) calls Babybels Annabelles (that's her cousin).

SleepingStandingUp · 17/12/2018 00:25

My 3.5 yr old has very little language, very few words etc but yesterday kept declaring "my mama , my mama
I taped it and he laughed so hard at himself

Itslookinglikeabeautifulday · 17/12/2018 00:28

My daughter suggested we needed to look at the “destructions” to a game. It’s now our family word for instructions.
Likewise “meringue-utans” are those little meringues that my son somehow muddled up with orangutans.

orangesandlemmings · 17/12/2018 00:31

DS hasn't done it since but used to do really smelly nappies as a baby obviously and we would say "oooh" and pull a face when changing him

I laughed so hard when he was about 3 months old and oooh'd at nappy time before we did

PippilottaLongstocking · 17/12/2018 00:33

itslooking that’s hilarious, my son call instructions ‘constructions’!

Hawkmoth · 17/12/2018 00:37

Today my littlest said, "Mummy my best friend." He's quite delayed in some aspects and it was very special.

Osirus · 17/12/2018 00:52

Uhyeh that is just beautiful.

My 2 year old DD says “side up down”!

The other day whilst I lay next to her in bed one morning she said to me: “Mummy, your booby talks to me”. I laughed and asked her what it said and she replied “I love you”.

I was getting ready for my work Xmas party early one evening last week and I asked her what she thought of the top I had picked out and she said I couldn’t wear it as it was “dolly’s”. I put it on anyway, and she said “you look beautiful mummy”.

I’m so going to miss this stage. I love having a toddler.

I love these threads, so much cuteness! Mine are a bit old now.
You've just made me well up Uhyeah, I'm glad you're here too.

Flutternotsoshy · 17/12/2018 01:04

My DD sings the bear messesemies rather than the bear necessities. Which is pretty cute.

But the best one was a friend's son. If he didn't like something he said "I can't like it" and we've all stolen it.

Tony2 · 17/12/2018 01:12

When my son was about three in the eighties, he sat in bed next to me, looked at me very seriously and asked, dad? Yes son, Dad, do you stop when your period starts? (It was a Tele advert) Tickled me.

gluteustothemaximus · 17/12/2018 01:32

2 year old has some lovely words. I don’t correct him, because I love his words too much!

Father Chrimbus and Chrimbus Lights are being said a lot this month.

Sirwamwidge (sandwich)

Squareangle (for square)

Rainybella (umbrella)

Also he sounds largely Italian ‘I donta wanta shoes on’ ‘I donta lika the dark’

Sometimes he sounds German. If you kiss him, he’ll say ‘thank you mine kiss’.

I will so miss his words.

HereBeFuckery · 17/12/2018 05:33

@Flutternotsoshy my DD insists it's 'forget about your worries and your stripes' in that song!

Nightwatch999 · 17/12/2018 07:12

@MysweetAudrina oh my days I've laughed and laughed at your post! Grin

WinnerWinnerChickenDinner0 · 17/12/2018 07:35

My ds came home from play school talking about honey comb ponies. Took my quite a while to figure that one out (unicorns Confused)

sugarandspicenotsonice · 17/12/2018 08:03

I am so glad I wrote this post! These have made me melt and made me laugh and now I feel emotional thinking that one day my little one won't say these things :-(

He also asks me to snuggle him when it's bed time and I have to put his blanket on, he used to call his blanket a yanket ???

And he says 'my legs not snuggled' if a little bit of his leg is out of the blanket!!

Flutternotsoshy · 17/12/2018 08:07

@HereBeFuckery.
That's adorable! Let's hope they both don't grow out of it too fast.

Camomila · 17/12/2018 09:41

DS used to say 'ladybubs' for ladybirds but he's recently grown out of it.

When I ask him what his teddies/babies are called he doesn't realise you can use real names and makes them up - his dolls are called 'Paca' and 'Sambalaya'...I checked the nursery pegs, there are no DC with similar names.

He also sings attempts to sing all the hymns at mass without knowing the words. His made up versions are all in tune though!

dArtagnansCrumpet · 17/12/2018 09:47

My 4 year old says giantnormous for ginormous and radigator for radiator. She often sings along to songs with gusto and most of the lyrics are so random Grin

Fashionista101 · 17/12/2018 10:05

DS4 shouts GOLDDDD when he scores a goal

FestiveForestieraNoel · 17/12/2018 10:40

'a bite of eat' for food

Whyislarryhappy · 17/12/2018 11:09

Ds is 3 he says
Poin - coin.
Pot - cot.
Sinta - Santa
Doose - juice
Crispmas - Christmas
Pihano - piano
For ages he was calling his nipples his elbows!

tiredybear · 17/12/2018 11:15

such a lovely post!
My LO (3.5) has loads too, but my favourite is ' dragon bottoms'...for jogging bottoms! :-)

Whyislarryhappy · 17/12/2018 11:19

Also makes my Heart melt when Dd going to sleep, ds will say "I'm going to sing a lullaby" and starts to sing "rock a bye baby"
Also when she wakes up, D's says "hello my beautiful princess. Don't cry. Its morning"
