So to clarify, because I can’t see answers to any of these points across all your posts:

An HDU was opened just for you, but there’s no sign of this anywhere
Doctors are dick shits who don’t understand you
And yet your needs are so complex they defy ITU protocols
You suction secretions from your mouth that you could otherwise spit out, and if you don’t suction then you’ll die...from mucus in the mouth
But also you can’t cough so are you suctioning your airway - something that cannot be tolerated by a conscious patient?
You have skin cancer but your enormous open wound healed in a few weeks
You value your PA more than anything but won’t pay her reasonable sick pay
You have time critical medicines, the like of which have never been used before for any other patient

I don’t actually doubt that you have a degree of illness. But there are so many inconsistencies and tbh, lies. This whole bus thing seems to be designed to get maximum attention and whenever that wavers, these ‘embellishments’ work their way in. Why not just be honest?

HoraceCope · 07/01/2019 11:15

Can't the detractors find something else to get in a froth about?

HoraceCope · 07/01/2019 11:15

Post kindly, message from MNHQ

Cuntcuntcunt · 07/01/2019 11:17

Post kindly applies to Seafour too. And tbh her stick the red hot poker up your arse dipshit can’t really be called kind, can it? Or the dogs about the carer being just rather too large to do her job.

KatesMott · 07/01/2019 11:19

@HoraceCope It’s not about ‘getting in a froth’- this has resonated with people who have had skin cancer who feel the recovery process has been belittled, with HCP’s who are annoyed that the work their colleagues do is being undermined with no recourse and with people who have genuinely supported the OP from the beginning who feel, pardon the pun, that they have been taken for a bit of a ‘ride’.

HoraceCope · 07/01/2019 11:25

Fair enough cunt

LuckyLou7 · 07/01/2019 11:27

I don't doubt Seafour has significant health issues. I'm happy to see the support offered and given on this thread, it's been heartwarming.

However, I'm not happy to read accusations of professional negligence and spiteful personal comments about people who are unaware of what is being said about them, in a public arena.

welcometonarnia · 07/01/2019 11:31

Hebe, I think you're applying double standards here. While I appreciate you're keeping Seafour's health in consideration, please also consider there are carers and HCPs here as well as other chronically ill people who have read Seafour's absolute slaughterings of the NHS. I don't think it's unkind to point out she's lost her way a bit by, for example, writing lengthy posts about how stupid and incompetent her present carer is. People see themselves in that carer and it's not a "kind" read.

ChanelPlease · 07/01/2019 11:55

'Does it make you feel good? Does it give you some weird sort of satisfaction having a pop at someone when they are at their most vulnerable?'

Nobody does this for fun op. You need some self awareness. Your derogatory comments about hcps are totally inappropriate. Your PAs allegation that you were unconscious after meds implying you'd been mismanaged or not monitored correctly is defamatory. How can you not see that?

Many of us have extensive experience both through ill relatives and NHS employment. I find your over embellishment extraordinary. Again, you don't need suction if you can clear secretions into your mouth. If you needed suction you would have a trachy.

CommunistLegoBloc · 07/01/2019 12:01

Did you really cut the ribbon to your new HDU? I fail to see how that wouldn’t make the news - the point of the ceremony would be for the publicity. Even standard new hospital buildings get a few lines in the local paper, let alone a state-of-the-art one, opened by its frequent flyer patient! Good publicity for the NHS innit.

BlancheM · 07/01/2019 12:05

I'm sure there'll be press cuttings, it must've been such a proud moment. I know that I'd have a framed photo if I'd achieved that and been honoured in such a way.

Cuntcuntcunt · 07/01/2019 12:14

All any of the healthcare professionals would have to do to be identified, those who are involved in the care of the OP, is look at the timings on the posts criticising them and making allegations of clinical negligence, and they would know who was looking after her at that time. She’s on a specialist unit, there won’t be that many nurses and doctors attached to the unit. And that’s not even going into the horrible things she has said about the current temporary carer

MintyT · 07/01/2019 12:27

Oh dear, Seafour I'm still on your side and wishing you well

Theunsungsong · 07/01/2019 12:29

I reported this thread, but since it looks like is being allowed to stand, I think it is interesting that none of the posts openly stating they believe Seafour is a liar or exaggerating or libellous haven't been deleted.

Also, why so few buslings on this thread to defend Seafour?

Babyblade · 07/01/2019 12:33

^ well said MintyT!

LuckyLou7 · 07/01/2019 12:36

Maybe the defamatory comments aren't actually defamatory because none of the people concerned exist? It's always wise to disguise people online, hence why MN posters talk about their DS when they have a DD, or don't specify the area they live in or the hobby they enjoy. It's all about online safety an not wanting to be tracked down and identified in real-life. I'm hoping that the appalling nursing and medical intervention the OP received was dramatised and embellished for effect and sympathy, and not actually true.

ChanelPlease · 07/01/2019 12:44

'Seafour I'm still on your side and wishing you well'

As does everyone. Coming to terms with disability and chronic illness is very challenging. People become angry, especially in this case as the original medical problem wasn't picked up. I can totally understand the ops lack of trust, her anger directed at hcps. The blaming etc.

What I can't understand is why when many of us are saying yes it sounds tough but stop exagerrating and stop the derogatory comments why she won't take that on board at all.

Izzy24 · 07/01/2019 12:53

There are many posts on Mumsnet criticising care by Midwives and Health visiitrs in the most vitriolic way. Seafour has heartfelt criticism about her care.

Whar’s the difference?

(Mumsnet HQ has already stated that they do not believe any posts make HCPs identitifiable).

Izzy24 · 07/01/2019 12:53

‘What’s’

Cuntcuntcunt · 07/01/2019 12:54

They are identifiable. Or anyone in the know would have to do would be to look at the shift rotor of who was on duty that night or at that time that the OP is alleging she received such poor care

Cuntcuntcunt · 07/01/2019 12:55

*all

*rota

Cuntcuntcunt · 07/01/2019 13:13

And Izzy. The real difference is that most people here value the anonymity. Seafour has identified herself and therefore by association identified those involved in her care.

PortiaCastis · 07/01/2019 13:17

The difference is Izzy seafour posted her mugshot so anyone treating her could recognise the person they cared for and whose arse they wiped. When seafour posted her pic it also had her name on it so this is how it differs from the midwife threads complaining about the nhs

Schuyler · 07/01/2019 13:40

@Seafour You must be traumatised and very anxious after suffering such a serious spinal injury due to medical malpractice. I think anyone would be.

You’ve talked about mental health issues before and I wonder if you’re still struggling with that. From following your threads, it seems you’re looking at things through the lens of your own anxiety which is not reality. It must feel worrying if nurses don’t give medication on time and if doctors don’t fully understand all of your complex medical needs. However, are they really negligent and “dickshits” or are you a very anxious because a medical error left you with a spinal injury? Are all health care professionals good? Nope. However, you describe so many of them as terrible that I wonder if it’s your perception of the situation.

I am not attacking you. I, too, have mental health issues (PTSD) as a result of a traumatic medical experience, although mine was not malpractice, I was just very ill. Every time I go to the doctor, I worry they won’t understand my complex health issues. I worry about everything to do with my health and sometimes something little feels much bigger than it really is. You need help, Seafour because you’ve been through a massive, massive trauma.
