Just wondering as I've realised I don't feel organised for the day if I don't make mine before I leave the house!

Yes room looks untidy otherwise.

constantlywingingit · 08/12/2018 20:10

Yes!

Bigonesmallone3 · 08/12/2018 20:11

I generally don't leave my bedroom before my bed is made..
I couldn't leave it unmade and a certainly couldn't get into an unmade bed at night ..

ApolloandDaphne · 08/12/2018 20:12

Yes. I always have done. My DD are 20 and 26 and they make their beds also. I taught them well!.

redandwhite1 · 08/12/2018 20:12

Yes! Nothing worse than getting into a crumpled bed!

Ilovealexa · 08/12/2018 20:13

Try to! Don’t do kids though as they’re bunk beds and a PIA

SinglePringle · 08/12/2018 20:13

Absolutely! I wake, get out of bed and make bed. Room looks / I feel slovenly if I don’t.

Change all the bed linen weekly also.

TwoGinScentedTears · 08/12/2018 20:13

Yep, beds are made, rooms are tidied and windows are opened every morning in every bedroom.

Caprisunorange · 08/12/2018 20:14

Yep. Sometimes I just shake everything out and pull the duvet back to air the sheets a bit though, so it’s not “just out of bed” but not neat, iykwim?

Klobuchar · 08/12/2018 20:14

Yes. Takes 30 seconds.

firsttimebabybirther · 08/12/2018 20:14

I do , I don't feel like my day has started properly until my bed is made. It's a fairly new habit though.

chuffnstuff · 08/12/2018 20:16

My husband does Grin As I'm normally up and gone gone for the day before he gets up. The presentation isn't the best, as in he doesn't smooth down the duvet but I can live with that!

Rarfy · 08/12/2018 20:16

I do now. Never bothered in our old house cos i hated it.

Fluffythrow · 08/12/2018 20:16

No.

FlyingUnicorn1 · 08/12/2018 20:17

For those of you who don't, why don't you?

I can't say I make it immediately as I like to air it while I'm having breakfast/getting ready.

Even if I'm running late I will always make it. I agree with PP that I couldn't get into an unmade bed at night.

Not every day no, most days though and if I haven't made it I always make it before I go to bed !!

Tattybear16 · 08/12/2018 20:17

Yes, always, don’t like coming home from work to a mess.

Nanalisa60 · 08/12/2018 20:18

If you want to change to world start by making your bed!! Please look it up online one of the best inspirational speech’s I have ever listened to by Admiral William McRaven

CryingMessFFS · 08/12/2018 20:18

I shake the duvet out and pull it back so the mattress gets air, technically no to your question but that’s my way of ‘making the bed’

letsdolunch321 · 08/12/2018 20:18

Oh yes, has to be done.

HironsBirons · 08/12/2018 20:18

Always

CemetaryGates · 08/12/2018 20:18

I alternate-one day I make the bed properly, the next day I fold the duvet back to the foot of the bed in to thirds, to get air to the mattress. I always fluff and arrange the pillows both days.

ElainaElephant · 08/12/2018 20:19

No. The cat is usually in it, and I don't like to disturb her.
