Do you make your bed every day?

Just wondering as I've realised I don't feel organised for the day if I don't make mine before I leave the house!

Always! And tidy round the bedrooms and bathroom, fold used towels onto radiator to dry, put loo seat down, stack dishwasher and wipe down kitchen worktops 🤣🤣🤣

Stephisaur · 08/12/2018 20:49

No, but I don’t hang my clothes up most of the time either so a messy bed really is the least of my mess issues in the bedroom!

I’m a bit of a slob tbh Blush

ImogenTubbs · 08/12/2018 20:52

I don't because I don't really care. I'm quite tidy otherwise and generally keep on top of things but making the bed is just one of those things that has never felt important to me. I put fresh bedding on once a week.

Bluntness100 · 08/12/2018 20:54

Yes, every day, I really dislike it left messy and unmade.

Julianaa · 08/12/2018 20:58

Yes. Plump pillows, smooth the (fitted) sheet, and straighten the duvet.

Then I go and check about 40 others (boarding school!)

HockStock · 08/12/2018 20:59

Not anymore.

hugoagogo · 08/12/2018 20:59

Yes, just before I get in it.

Athena51 · 08/12/2018 21:00

Always, as soon as i get up unless the cat is asleep on it, then I'll leave it until he gets up.

I couldn't get into a crumpled unmade bed to sleep.

ReggieKrayDoYouKnowMyName · 08/12/2018 21:01

I try to tidy up before I leave the room in the morning so do it then. Don’t always at the weekend though.

MiddlingMum · 08/12/2018 21:01

Yes, of course. I can't bear being slovenly.

Hushabyelullaby · 08/12/2018 21:03

Yes I do, the room doesn't feel right with it unmade. I couldn't get into an unmade bed. I hasten to add that it wasn't until my early twenties (when I stopped being a student), that I started making it though!

jarhead123 · 08/12/2018 21:04

Yes always. Kids do too. Looks so messy unmade.

FTFF · 08/12/2018 21:15

Nope, the duvet is always folded back and the pillows put back on the bed but it's rarely made properly. I like to get the bed aired.

eurochick · 08/12/2018 21:15

Yes I do. I pull the duvet back and leave it to air while I have breakfast and then I or my husband make it before we leave the house.

SpamChaudFroid · 08/12/2018 21:18

I love a fluffed bed! Sometimes I iron my sheets as a treat.

It remains unmade until DCat gets up. He prefers not to rise before noon.

dudsville · 08/12/2018 21:18

My bedroom doesn't have much in it so it's very easy to shake out the duvets, plump The pillows and collect any stray clothes. So we do this. HOWEVER, we live with many dogs and they sometimes remake the bed as or pleases them!

bumblebee39 · 08/12/2018 21:19

Yes it makes the room look tidy and it's ready for bedtime

Clevs · 08/12/2018 21:20

I make it before even going downstairs.

Madmarchpear · 08/12/2018 21:20

Make mine about 1pm quilt back windows open. No matter what the weather any time before seems unhygienic and unaired.

stopdropandroll · 08/12/2018 21:21

yes always unless the cat is sleeping on it as i can’t bear to move her!

cstaff · 08/12/2018 21:22

Yes, about 2 minutes before I get into it Grin

GreenDinosaur · 08/12/2018 21:23

Nope. I guess I'm slovenly Shock

A580Hojas · 08/12/2018 21:24

I only make the bed when I change the sheets, or if an Estate Agent is coming to take photos because I'm selling the house (last happened in 2004).

SnugglySnerd · 08/12/2018 21:25

Yes. It's the very first thing I do every morning even before I go to the loo!

A580Hojas · 08/12/2018 21:26

I don't mind if the room looks untidy. It's the thought of trapping all those dust mites and skin cells together in a warm, humid environment that I can't stand. Grrroooooooo.
