If you're up and about, why are you awake?

Waves at fellow night owls.

I've just made a pot of coffee, as have a deadline tomorrow and lost ground this afternoon being faint and ill and useless. My blood sugar has zoomed up to 20 after a crappy hypo, but I'm doing ok for now, though obviously would prefer to be in bed.

If you're up and no plans for sleep yet, what are you doing?

Kat my youngest had a GA at the same age so I know it's hard. Hope it goes well.

BlackBeltInPresentWrapping · 10/12/2018 04:45

Thinking of you, kat, and your DS. Drive slow and steady, and look forward to that first cuddle afterwards. (Don't forget his teddy).

Philomensapie · 10/12/2018 04:47

I'm just awake. Your guess is as good as mine.

Dh was setting off on a business trip abroad so I got up with him at 3.30 am and now I am wide awake but knackered.

Still pondering the name, Phil?! Wink

Could be BB! Xmas Grin

The birds have just started chirruping outside. Back in the day, you knew it had been a good night out if the birds were chirping on your walk home. Now? Not so much.

preggersteach · 10/12/2018 05:11

4 month sleep regression, still! Been up about every hour and a half. Not fun

crappygilmore · 10/12/2018 05:32

Awake since 3. Loads on my mind. Life is teetering on the brink. Watching old eastenders that I've taped. Will shower soon. Haven't slept through the night since Feb. I can't have a breakdown. I simply can't. That's what I keep telling myself. Oh well. May see u all again tomorrow in the wee hours.

DixieFlatline · 10/12/2018 05:52

My dogs woke me an hour ago, bastards. Exhausted Confused

frankie001 · 10/12/2018 19:48

I’ve completed today on 0 sleep. Was in work for 0700 so have had a surprisingly productive day.

katmarie · 10/12/2018 20:03

For anyone wondering, ds made it through both the anaesthetic and the surgery, like a trooper, and we're home and well. Tough day, but I met some parents today who do that kind of day every day. Puts things into perspective. Ds is now asleep in my arms, I hope everyone gets a better nights sleep tonight x

ChristmasSprite · 10/12/2018 20:15

Oh Kat that's wonderful news, our dear little precious bundles, such a relief hes home safe in your arms again. Hope that mean some peace and sleep all round tonight.

Philomensapie · 10/12/2018 20:31

That's wonderful news Kat. Xmas Grin

Hi everyone,

I’m a new mother, I have two beautiful twin girls they are 2 months old. Luckily, the girls are asleep, my electricity has just ran out. I’ve asked others for help but I’ve had no luck. Does anyone know how I can reset the emergency electricity on my meter? My electricity ran out 2/3 days ago and I put in the emergency key to active it, this is my first time using the emergency electricity and it’s just finished.

Is there a way to reset the emergency electricity? I don’t get paid until this Wednesday, I was hoping that the electricity would last until then.

(I posted this in a different chatroom but I realised it was the wrong one, I haven’t got the hang of this site yet)

Philomensapie · 10/12/2018 21:36

I don't think you can reset it. It resets automatically when you put money in.

HappyGoLuckyGo · 10/12/2018 22:36

My meter had a £5 emergency limit, and once that was used up you had to go and top up, I’m afraid...

ChristmasSprite · 10/12/2018 23:30

@mykidsaremylifexo oh that's rough! Do you have any support around that can help out? Emergency social funds for can apply for, something like that? Or family that can help you out financially. Are you on your own with your twins?

I'm not sure where the best place for you to post is either, someone more knowledgeable will come along I'm sure and congratulations on your babies!

Philomensapie · 11/12/2018 04:42

DH got up to go to the loo at 3.42, DS2 obviously thought it was time to come in at 3.47, obviously I sent him back to bed. Also, I don't trust my phone to charge and I need it for the alarm, so now I'm awake just in case.

Sweepington · 11/12/2018 04:57

DD is super congested so was using shower as a make do sauna. She’s asleep now but it’s like sharing a bed with a warthog Confused

Can't sleep due to sinus pain and an awful cough that's making my throat feel like it's being sliced open! Feeling very sorry for myself!
