If you're up and about, why are you awake?

Waves at fellow night owls.

I've just made a pot of coffee, as have a deadline tomorrow and lost ground this afternoon being faint and ill and useless. My blood sugar has zoomed up to 20 after a crappy hypo, but I'm doing ok for now, though obviously would prefer to be in bed.

If you're up and no plans for sleep yet, what are you doing?

I've just been posting on a thread I started two weeks ago when I was in HDU, in six hours time I will be checking into hospital for major spinal surgery, can't sleep, feeling a bit anxious and overwhelmed at the support I've had from lovely mumsnetters.

Parents both have dementia - they actually moved into a nursing home this summer and it’s easier than it was but sleep remains elusive

I fell into a YouTube black hole about 2 hours ago, discovered 8D audio which is strange to say the least made me feel a bit sick like travel sickness almost.

Anxious. In final hours of prolonged house sale/purchase with buyers being entitled arses. Dh is working away until we move to join him. He's got longstanding mh issues which have been settled this last year but he's been badly affected by the stress and admitted to suicidal ideation yesterday. I'm stressing about house. Stressing about him. Hate not being with him to make sure he's ok. Also exhausted by the thought of supporting him through another crisis.

Also stressing about DS (7) who's probably got some mild form of SEN and has been self harming and 'misbehaving' in school. Made worse by dad being ill/away and the worries over moving. I can't wait to get him out of current school. Just praying to a god i dont believe in that the school we've chosen will be the right fit and help him
That's if we get the house thing sorted. And thus the school place.

Love to those who are struggling and hats off to han01uk. A couple of truly wonderful women made such a difference to us three years ago. Bless you.

Hi all. Can't sleep because I've had proper flu for a month and my sleeping patterns are all screwed up + am a little worried about money + our new kitchen not being done for Christmas + had some carefully optimistic news about work (possibly going into a new field I've always dreamt of in the new year!) so a mixed bag.
