Or maybe a Describe Your Sitting Room if you don't want to show it :). I need inspiration.

After Christmas I'm starting again with mine. I'm changing the dark grey/blue corner sofa, getting rid of the Ikea bookcases and repainting the nearly white walls. Only problem is I don't know what I'm changing them all to!

I'm (probably) keeping the wooden floorboards, and definitely keeping the tiles around the fireplace.

Any ideas?

Aaaaw, thanks for the nice comments about my house. As much as I envy the minimalist look I don’t think I could ever do it, we have too much shite!
Nearly all the pictures on our walls mean something to us; either gifts, of somewhere special, done by the kids etc. We have a wooden hand mirror hung up that’s from a reletive’s farm a couple of hundred years old and a framed Victorian lacy bib etc.

@mylivingroom I really like the colour on your walls, what colour is it please?

ours is like this but with a dark wooden floor and a red rug with a similar pattern.
