After Christmas I'm starting again with mine. I'm changing the dark grey/blue corner sofa, getting rid of the Ikea bookcases and repainting the nearly white walls. Only problem is I don't know what I'm changing them all to!

I'm (probably) keeping the wooden floorboards, and definitely keeping the tiles around the fireplace.

Any ideas?

I too am wildly impressed by how tidy lots of you are. And I'd love cream sofas but they'd stay cream in this house for about two minutes (because of me, not the dc!)

Inanutshelly can I ask what colour your walls are? And your walls too Queenarse? They're both lovely colours.

We're in a rental, so the walls had to be white. Also, we have no kids and the glass table is being replaced with an iron/wood rectangular table.

That ilford wicker laundry basket is fab, we used to have one back in the 60s as a toy basket 🧺

Yours looks like a Christmas card cities, all cosy and warm.

The colour I used was a Dulux paint called Sapphire Salute. We painted all the walls except for the one that is filled with white Ikea Billy bookcases, our budget flat-packed library 😄

Here's mine. I don't know how I'd describe it to be honest! It's just Bern our home for he last couple of years. Was very 'showhouse' when we first moved in -cold and bare.... It's not like that now!

I love looking at houses and decor-rightmove is a guilty hobby!

Hard to get mine into 3 pictures! Ours is a large and very square room, it's pretty much finished but needs some pictures on the bare walls (just had some taken of DD so they'll be doing up shortly). With it being quite large with a big window, we decided to go very dark with the walls and furniture, I love it.

Victorian cottage, recently redone as we had a fire.

We have two lounges . One in the front, then one at the back. We have our kitchen/ dining area inbetween

Mine is quite big so in 2 halves really. I like bright and airy.

I'm old, (71), and prefer a classic style, so when I refurbished my sitting room a few years ago, went for shades of taupe - a cool colour for a south-facing room, and calming.

@foreverblessedbee - we have the same sofa set :D. Never though that I can just turn the pillow around to get rid of the leafy pattern. I think I am going to steal that :>
