Yes, if you like it, no if you don’t.

Me personally? Yes indeed.

KindergartenKop · 20/11/2018 15:10

Loads of all colours please.

Nunyabusiness · 20/11/2018 15:18

Yesssss please to tinsel on the tree in this house

seventhgonickname · 20/11/2018 15:22

I like tinsel but no the fat stuff.we have a real tree so push it around the central trunk or between branches where decorations won't fit.Only silver, red and green.I hate it swagged around the tree.
I am also fancying coloured light though my teenage daughter has reached the age of reason and only wants soft white!
I

Annajohnsdottir · 20/11/2018 15:24

Yes but not if it becomes more tinsel than tree. Plugging gaps in a sparse tree is totally acceptable though Grin

willowstar · 20/11/2018 15:25

Absolutely. No more the merrier and in every different colour.

Strugglingtodomybest · 20/11/2018 15:25

Absolutely!

Meet0nTheIedge · 20/11/2018 15:25

No, I think it looks better without. Just hanging decorations and coloured lights for us.

NewGrandad · 20/11/2018 15:26

Yes but not in November.

Brazenhussy0 · 20/11/2018 15:27

Nope. Looks messy and haphazard.
Sparkly baubles and loads of lights on a lovely thick fake tree is much better Smile

DaffodilPower · 20/11/2018 15:38

Yes - I wrap a lovely thick garland or two of it up the center of the tree, reflects the lights beautifully!

coolcrispwinter · 20/11/2018 15:41

Yes it can look good but not if you would have to buy it new. Reducing plastics and all that.

Notagainmun · 20/11/2018 16:04

Yes but only silver for me.

CakeNinja · 20/11/2018 16:05

Not for me, I love and messy and haphazard tree (my dc do all the decorating other than me slinging the lights on) but I hate tinsel!
My mums tree is always loaded with fat lumpy sausages of garish tinsel and it always looks horrible Grin

lpchill · 20/11/2018 16:19

We have a cat, DD who is 2 and a puppy which will be his first Christmas. We stopped doing tinsel the year we got the cat..... then with the addition of now toddler and puppy it just made sense not to bring it back

DoveSecret · 20/11/2018 16:53

Yes!

Mine is going up in Sunday 🎅🏻🎄

wrenika · 20/11/2018 17:42

Nope, my DP is scared of tinsel. (Completely illogical fear and he know it, but many of us have very strange fears and phobias!)

FeckingEjit · 20/11/2018 17:43

I find it looks tacky as a decoration but works well shoved into the middle of the tree and between branches to make it look fuller

I'm a lights, baubles and beads kind of tree decorator Grin

bimbobaggins · 20/11/2018 17:43

I don’t like it but I don’t judge people who do

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 20/11/2018 17:52

No

Sausagefingers9 · 20/11/2018 17:55

No way.
Yuck!

KipperTheFrog · 20/11/2018 18:43

None on the tree, on the stair banister.
Baubles, lights, and lametta on the tree.
But not till the week before Christmas.

confusedandemployed · 20/11/2018 19:02

Of course! Christmas decorations are not meant to be elegant!

cjt110 · 20/11/2018 19:04

I fucking hate tinsel. More so I hate the odd mismatched shit we have.

If you have tinsel, have one colour. And one thickness.

No mismatched bollocks. It causes no end of rage in my house year on year. I am gradually binning pieces year in year so DH doesn't see it!!!

cakesonatrain · 20/11/2018 19:06

Yep. But only silver.
