just moved dds school bag of the settee and a bit of papers slid out, on it it says a due date, possible names and names of godparents.
now this wouldnt normally phase me as id just think it was teenage rambling EXCEPT..... ive been asking myself when shes next due on, as we have been away for 2 weeks and back now around 10 days and shes not been on during that time which got me thinking back to when i last bought her any pads and tbh i cant remember. im thinking around july time which would tie in with the due date wrote down.
shes out at the moment which may be a good thing as i dont know what the fuck to do now!!
please help me by giving some advice

I wish to heaven I’d been on the pill at her age! I have endometriosis and my periods were horrific, literally crawling around in agony, plus acne. I wouldn’t even hesitate if it happened to my daughters. The pill is my best friend and I’m on it continuously as my periods dominated my life.

Glad it was good news.

I'd actually take a step back now esp re: the pill. Its an option for her, but I wouldn't push it for your peace of mind, it needs to be her wanting to be on the pill.

Once the dust settles this is going to turn into a family legend of 'remember when Mum made me take a pregnancy test because of my Simms family!'.

My daughter went on the pill at 14..she was irregular at least twice a month. She is now 17 and didnt actually have sex till she was 16, i know this because she came and discussed it with me and she knew to protect herself from stds even though she was on the pill. The pill does not encourage underage sex, not talking or being open enough for your kids to approach you with questions is what causes many issues.
Its our job as parents to give them the right information and tools to make the right decisions.

Do people really think going on the pill will encourage their teenagers to have sex? I had two school friends whose mother (they were sisters) would not talk about periods, boyfriends and sex. Both girls were pregnant before the age of 18. Their mother was furious. I would think I'd failed if I couldn't even teach my children the basics.
