just moved dds school bag of the settee and a bit of papers slid out, on it it says a due date, possible names and names of godparents.
now this wouldnt normally phase me as id just think it was teenage rambling EXCEPT..... ive been asking myself when shes next due on, as we have been away for 2 weeks and back now around 10 days and shes not been on during that time which got me thinking back to when i last bought her any pads and tbh i cant remember. im thinking around july time which would tie in with the due date wrote down.
shes out at the moment which may be a good thing as i dont know what the fuck to do now!!
please help me by giving some advice

sorry about the delay, as explained in quite a few other replies i do actually have a life outside of mumsnet and sorry to say to all you cynical posters, no it doesnt involve any bridge cleaning or hairy hand waxing! also reddit??? hmm well i can honestly say that if i have been "outed" on there then its a real life who we are outing, not a troll one. if thats the case can someone point me in the right direction via a link by PM as i dont know how the fuck that site works so finding anything there would be nigh on impossible
had quite a few chats with her over the last few days and she has peed on a stick. negative.
she says shes not sexually active so all i can do is take her at her word.i have suggested going o the pill anyway but at the moment shes a bit unsure so is thinking about it, i cant exactly force her to take it if she doesnt want to but im also pushing along the it will help with spots too route
the list, names, godparents etc......a pp may have actually stumbled onto what this was about. bloody SIMS!! after chatting to her and my friends whos kids also play this it turns out quite a few of them do write these lists. in fact dd has a pile of different ones, who is who, who has what job, i didnt really look too much as its not my thing but on 1st glance they do look like what she said,

thank you to all those who did send supportive messages, its much appreciated. hopefully this is the end of it, though i am happy to answer any mre questions (within reason) than any doubters still have

My God there are some vile posts on this thread. It says far more about them than you dawnc27
I'm so glad all is well.
Keep being the fantastic Mum you very clearly are.

BertramKibbler · 11/11/2018 18:51

People should get thrown off here for their ridiculous troll hunting.

Glad all is well OP. The Sims is great lol

MysticFlyTrap · 11/11/2018 18:53

Glad all is well op, really good news x

doodledancing · 11/11/2018 18:54

Ah that must be such a relief. I remember SIMS from my youth 😂... She's obviously younger than you give her credit for- although being over-cautious has got to be better than living in a bubble!

doodledancing · 11/11/2018 18:55

In years to come you will have this "funny" story to tell!

KitKat1985 · 11/11/2018 18:57

What a relief OP. Pleased it's all turned out okay. x

cheesymashandbeans · 11/11/2018 18:59

OP I've only just seen this thread and I'd just like to say that you sound like a fantastic supporting mum. X

yawning801 · 11/11/2018 19:08

Such a relief! Well done for dealing with it so well, OP

FrightsaidRed · 11/11/2018 19:29

Really glad it all worked out OP - fwiw I didn’t think you were a troll because these situations can and do occur regularly and I’ve known plenty of young teens be in this situation. I’m behind the times on SIMS but what a relief it’s that and she’s peed on a stick and you can rest assured.

It’s good its opened up the topic between you and no doubt in future she’ll be comfortable telling you when she does become sexually active (hopefully when she’s much older!) after this!

I reckon you’ll laugh about it in years to come!

PrincessConsuelaBannanaHammock · 11/11/2018 19:30

Glad everything turned out ok op Smile

SirVixofVixHall · 11/11/2018 20:17

What a huge relief. She isn’t having sex and she isn’t pregnant, so the best possible result.

DistanceCall · 11/11/2018 20:22

So glad she is not pregnant.

You really, REALLY need to get sex education for your daughter, though - both talking to her yourself and finding her resources (books, doctor, nurse, etc.)

senua · 11/11/2018 20:25

i have suggested going o the pill anyway but at the moment shes a bit unsure so is thinking about it
You are encouraging your 14 y.o. to go on the pill!?Shock What happened to "talk me down"! You should be telling her how to say 'no' if she doesn't want to have sex, not encouraging her.

JohnCRaven · 11/11/2018 20:28

senua I wish I'd been on the pill at 14. Horrendous periods and spots. Miserable till 17 when I did. Nothing to do with being sexually active.

Fresta · 11/11/2018 20:30

I wouldn't encourage her to go on the pill- especially as she says she's not sexually active. 14 is incredibly young and being on the pill is almost like having permission to have unprotected sex.

senua · 11/11/2018 20:33

I wish I'd been on the pill at 14. Horrendous periods and spots
Confused
That's your history. It's not relevant to this situation.

Comenext · 11/11/2018 20:44

Glad it all turned out well OP.
Teenagers keep parents on their toes, don't they?
