Having Sunday lunch, today and we got talking with Ds11, about 'snitching '. He was very vocal about his dislike of snitches. He said that he knew a secret about Dh, and he wouldn't tell, as Dh wouldn't like it. After much hilarity and Dh insisting that he had no secrets from me, and that he wouldn't be at bothered if Ds shared the secret, Ds blurts out that while using Dh's phone, to watch YouTube, he discovered that Dh's last search had been Tess Daley's tits..... Without missing a beat, Dh said, 'I'll get my coat...'I nearly wet myself

MizK. Don’t worry, it’s fine for you to do it. Your DH on the other hand...well that would make him a dirty, misogynistic pervert determined to taint your DC with his pornographic predilictions. Obviously Smile

CardinalCat · 04/11/2018 21:14

Pictish, that's really horrible.
I'm not a great fan of the sexualisation of breasts but certainly not a prude- as a household we are free easy and nude, and my boobs are out plenty as I'm an extended breastfeeder of greedy children. I don't object to the OP's husband googling celebrity tits on his phone particularly either- that's hardly new or unusual, even if it is a bit wearying when this celebrity in particular guards her sexual privacy closely- you can just imagine the man thinking "we'll, I'm completely bored of Kelly brook's ubiquitous glands. Let's see if any unscrupulous exes of that upright Daly have put some pics up of those shielded titties". Fgs leave her alone.
However, all of that aside- upon learning that a child has accessed this information, one of the OP's foremost thoughts is to tell mumsnet how funny it was.
Weird.

Branleuse · 04/11/2018 21:17

i just had to google tess daleys tits now.

TellerTuesday4EVA · 04/11/2018 21:17

It's as a PP has said - it's all about tolerances.

I used to read The Viz with my dad every week at your DS's age.... yeah probably wouldn't win any parenting awards for that but it's one of my favourite memories.

There's not a single thing I felt or feel I couldn't talk to my parents about & I can only hope my kids feel the same way about us in years to come

NightAndShiningArmour · 04/11/2018 21:18

I’ve just read this out to friend (DF). DF32 and I proper belly laughed. OP, great post. V Funny.

She has JUST signed up to mumsnet and should be along in a minute to also tell you it’s funny 😉 we’re pretty crass though. DH has retreated to the bedroom to give us some girly space and I shouted through the door to ask if he was wanking yet.

Dorsetdays · 04/11/2018 21:18

Cardinal. No, the OP said the hilarity was all before the ‘secret’ was shared not afterwards.

And I think Tess Daly is pretty happy to have her breasts loooked at judging by the incredibly revealing outfits she wears on national TV...in fact she’s apologised before for just how revealing some of them were on a family TV programme.

Ok Cardinal sorry...it’s nothing personal as I don’t know you. It’s really the thread in general. Has a collective stick up its collective arse.

pictish · 04/11/2018 21:24

Thank you Monkey for that descriptive assessment of me there. Grin

Dahlietta · 04/11/2018 21:26

I suppose it could have been funny, if you were there. But I don't understand: do grown men actually Google things like "Tess Daly's tits"?

Sparklingbrook · 04/11/2018 21:27

I did wonder that Dahlietta but didn't like to ask.

Whenever Strictly is on the subject raises its head again as Tess has been criticised for some of her outfits being far too revealing previously so it could be that the googling was seeing what all the fuss was about rather than a desire to find naked photos of her online which I doubt for one minute are there.

pictish · 04/11/2018 21:31

I hear they sometimes do, yes...and more besides. Women google people that they have a tv crush on too! Shock
UTTERLY UNBELIEVABLE!

Whatthefunk · 04/11/2018 21:31

Well clearly they do... I myself, to my shame have googled Tom Hardy, naked, on more than one occasion. But I promise, I didn't enjoy it

The 'more besides' is more what I would expect. The 'Tess Daly's tits' just seems so teenaged. As for the women and 'people they have a tv crush on', that's not really the equivalent, is it? That's the equivalent of a grown man Googling 'Tess Daly'.

Sparklingbrook · 04/11/2018 21:40

I might Google people I like on the telly but not to see them naked. I must be doing things all wrong.

pictish · 04/11/2018 21:41

“The 'Tess Daly's tits' just seems so teenaged.“

So fucking what? What’s it to you?

librarylover53 · 04/11/2018 21:43

Oh knight how hilarious! You and your OH have such a cool relationship , so down with it to joke about wanking etc etc....

NotUmbongoUnchained · 04/11/2018 21:45

I have absolutely googled Chris Hensworth naked.

pictish · 04/11/2018 21:45

There is nothing that people on mumsnet won’t get on their high horse to be sanctimonious about.

AbsentmindedWoman · 04/11/2018 21:46

I don't think it's funny because it is objectifying a woman, which is shit behaviour to model to your kid. However, everyone is entitled to private thoughts and fantasies, and I'd have guessed googling that would throw up pics of her in a bikini on some fancy holiday? Why would there be anything else online when she's a tv presenter?

That's not porn. It's a bit squalid for the 11 year old to find this in his dad's search history, but it's not porn.

Dorsetdays · 04/11/2018 21:48

Library. Seriously? What’s wrong with two people in a relationship talking (or even gasp joking!) about wanking. It’s not actually a crime you know.

countrybunny · 04/11/2018 21:49

I think it's funny 😂

NotUmbongoUnchained · 04/11/2018 21:49

Well, I’ve just googled Tess Daly’s tits and turns out she was naked in a music video from the 90’s.
