Well that was awkward

Having Sunday lunch, today and we got talking with Ds11, about 'snitching '. He was very vocal about his dislike of snitches. He said that he knew a secret about Dh, and he wouldn't tell, as Dh wouldn't like it. After much hilarity and Dh insisting that he had no secrets from me, and that he wouldn't be at bothered if Ds shared the secret, Ds blurts out that while using Dh's phone, to watch YouTube, he discovered that Dh's last search had been Tess Daley's tits..... Without missing a beat, Dh said, 'I'll get my coat...'I nearly wet myself

That's grim OP

beeefcreep · 04/11/2018 20:15

I would be seeking legal advice OP

FFSFFSFFS · 04/11/2018 20:16

Cracking start at teaching your son just how mainstream and acceptable it is to violate a woman's privacy.

Hah hah hah hah.

In reality how would you feel if you knew that random men were searching for pictures of your boobs?

Nothisispatrick · 04/11/2018 20:17

Its not like he googled asian school girl lesbo hardcore is it?

reallybadidea · 04/11/2018 20:21

I can see why it was funny, it's the sort of thing that would happen in a sitcom.

Personally I would be pretty upset that my dh was objectifying women's bodies like this and worse that my ds was being taught that it was ok. Not everyone has a problem with that though, so I can see why you'd find it amusing.

CheerfulAsEver · 04/11/2018 20:24

My goodness....some of you are so sensitive. It's a little funny, if only for its awkwardness! Get over yourselves!

happypoobum · 04/11/2018 20:25
Confused

How lovely?

Whatthefunk · 04/11/2018 20:26

Oh my. You lot are hilarious. I didn't laugh at the secret, we laughed before it was revealed. Afterwards there was a very awkward moment, and Dh left the table. To be fair, my first thought was why Tess Daley? Apparently there's very little wank fodder, relating to Ms Daley, so its not a regular thing

😂😂

I've been known to google I appropriate things (Orlando Bloom naked?!) so couldn't really say anything about DH doing it. There are way, way worse things he could have found so this is really tame.

cariadlet · 04/11/2018 20:27

I nearly wet myself

Which bit was funny? The fact that your husband was attempting to invade a woman's privacy or the fact that he did it so ineptly that your child knew what he was searching for?

I think it's really depressing that some posters find this so hilarious.

brizzledrizzle · 04/11/2018 20:29

Did you really mean to let your 11 year old son know that you think it's funny?

I can see the funny side just about , not what the secret was but the way the cat was let out of the bag but I'd have to have made it clear precisely what aspect I found funny.

Sparklingbrook · 04/11/2018 20:29

That's no great surprise is it? She is a not very good TV presenter married to the awful Vernon.

Whatthefunk · 04/11/2018 20:29

Oh good grief

Hmm
brizzledrizzle · 04/11/2018 20:30

At least he wasn't googling 'Tom Daley's tits'

greendale17 · 04/11/2018 20:30

Hope you don’t mind your DH being the talk of the playground tomorrow

AmIthatbloodycold · 04/11/2018 20:31

Sillymoomin did she ? I can never keep up with the number of
Americans on MN

FFSFFSFFS · 04/11/2018 20:31

Yeah you're right OP - women just can't take a joke can they.

Just a bit of bantz.

Why can't we all be Cool Girls like you.

Totes - for sure - let's all be cool and talk about whether there is good wank fodder of Tess Daley.

The phrase you might be grasping for somewhere in your mind is internalised misogyny.

And yes small things like this DO matter - because it's why all the really bad things happen.

Whatthefunk · 04/11/2018 20:31

Rest assured Ds knows very well which bit was funny. Actually it started a very interesting conversation about the internet. It may not be your style of parenting, but it works for usSmile

AlbusSeverusMalfoy · 04/11/2018 20:32

Don't worry OP. I laughed quite hard at that. All these horrified people obviously didn't grown up with older brothers....
