Last weekend in November

Tonight.

We have a few December birthdays which we don't like to detect from with Christmas, so our tree never goes up before the 14th December. DH would prefer Christmas Eve as that was his family tradition, but the children like to have it up longer.

JumpersForGoalposts · 24/10/2018 19:29

Dec 1st in this house

DramaAlpaca · 24/10/2018 19:29

A week before Christmas at the very earliest Wink

Jaimx86 · 24/10/2018 19:30

We’re away a lot in December, so putting them up when we have time on the weekend of 24th Nov. It’s very early for us, but can’t fit it in after as we have trees in three rooms so it’s a weekend job. Ideally I’d do it two weeks later, but I know plenty of other people will have theirs up then so won’t feel like too much of a wally.

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 24/10/2018 19:30

1st December in our house. Any earlier and I think DH's head would actually explode.

Geidibe · 24/10/2018 19:30

I put mine up on the 1st dec

iVampire · 24/10/2018 19:35

I think it’s wrong to put up decorations before Advent Sunday.

Mine go up when DC break up. And of course stay up until Twelfth Night

Figgygal · 24/10/2018 19:36

1st weekend of December

theboxofdelights · 24/10/2018 19:38

1st December or the Saturday nearest to it here. I usually take it down just before NYE though as I have had enough of it by then.

Mhw02 · 24/10/2018 19:39

I think last year I put mine up the Saturday before school broke up. This year I probably won't bother with one, as I'm spending the entire Christmas holidays in Australia!

Sassenach85 · 24/10/2018 19:41

Last weekend in November. It takes a whole weekend to do the whole house and December is so busy we get the decorating out the way in November

Blondielongie · 24/10/2018 19:44

Is love to put mine up now. End of November though. Not long :)

EnglishRose1320 · 24/10/2018 19:46

15th of December or later. Love having them up until 12th night. Don't like the DC's getting hyper too early.

Meet0nTheIedge · 24/10/2018 19:46

We normally do ours a week to 10 days into December.

cheesymashandbeans · 24/10/2018 19:52

1st of Dec this year is a Saturday! It's already in my diary as Christmas decorations weekend! Can't wait! (yes I'm That person!)

Mokepon · 24/10/2018 19:54

12 days before Christmas and 12 days after.
Thems the rules, innit?

BitchQueen90 · 24/10/2018 19:55

I always do first weekend in December.

beeefcreep · 24/10/2018 20:03

Yay!! Will be doing it last weekend in November

New theme isn't a theme as such just loads of red berries and red/dark purple fake flowers and ribbons. Also got a flocked tree this year which I'm excited to get out!!!!

I love Christmas!!!!!
