GP wasn't happy to see me but they did. I've been given new meds but I'm nervous about taking them as I'm feeling so unwell and I'm scared of side effects. They said I don't have the bacteria which causes meningitis but am at risk of the viral form and sepsis as I've been ill two weeks now. My anxiety is dreadful Sad I've done a thread on the medication can't take it until tomorrow morning.

My temperature is still high along with my blood pressure and blood sugars aren't good either.

I think if I just had this it would be but the combination is dreadful.

Dropped my phone in the loo. My friend didn't get the job with me. DS got bitten by another child at school (the one he was having problems with a while back). Other child's mum swore at me as she drove past me after school pick up. I sent a message trying to explain the situation and have been met with a tirade of crap from her. Apparently her child has been scared to come to school because of DS pushing, hitting, throwing things & spitting at him. And because of this they are now moving house to another area a very long way away. Also said that I'm a liar and that's obviously where DS gets it from.

I'm in bits. As if I didn't have enough to deal with

Curtains Your poor ds and poor you too. I think some parents are genuinely blind to what little sods their children can be but they aren’t doing the child any favours as if this behaviour doesn’t get dealt with now imagine when said child is a teen/adult! Hopefully they do move it will do you a favour at least

Sorry to see your news Curtains . There are some horrible little sods around. My hairdresser called the police yesterday because of the terrible bullying messages that her ten yr old has recieved. I can't believe that what I was reading was from other ten yr olds ! What on Earth is going on these days.
Been pouring with rain here since this afternoon.

Bumped into the child that bit him and that's why he retaliated. My text was pretty much to say 'no hard feelings' to the other mum. I then got back how her child doesn't wa t to go to school because of DS. Every night he speaks to his dad on the phone (currently working away and where they are about to move to) and tells him about all of the things that our DS does to him. And that other parents have seen my DS doing this.

Now I'm not saying that DS is an angel, but I haven't heard any of this from anyone else. I know of 2 incidents where DS has retaliated, and one thing long ago in the first month of reception. Other than that all I hear from school is how polite and kind and eager to learn he is. I will be talking to school again tomorrow to check that this isnt the case. I ended up sobbing in the heads office (that was the last straw today) after she swore at me as DD wanted to go back in to go for a wee and I was really shaken up by it.

Not pathetic at all, especially given past experiences it's understandable. Have you started taking them yet.

Hi, may I join in? Have a feeling I'm going to be wide awake for sometime yet.

@Becca19962014 being anxious about new meds is not pathetic at all, you are ill and worried, that's totally understandable so don't be hard on yourself.

I found out I am pregnant with DC5 today, much to my shock. I don't use hormonal contraceptives because of PMDD and DH is booked in for the snip so we have been using condoms and I don't understand how this has happened. This will be DH DC1 as my 4dc are his step children. There will be a 14 year age gap between my eldest and this baby, and a 9 year age gap between my youngest and this baby.

Much on the mind.

@ThrowThoseCurtainsWide some mums can be real drama queens. She sounds like she is totally over reacting. The DC are 5, it's not the end of the world. Maybe after she sleeps on it she will get a bit of a grip. Don't let it bother you, you reached out to her, she has gone off in the deep end, leave her to it.

Hi all. This is my first time in here but I’m so worried. My Dd who is 23 has to have an urgent biopsy to check for melanoma.

She’s seen consultant, referred on urgent pathway , they wanted to do it in the next few days but she flies out to LA tomorrow and isn’t back until the 22nd. Cons suggested she not go but it’s been planned for a year, there are 7 of them going, including my ds who was 21 last week, his birthday treat, her partners birthday.

I’m so worried. Cons said it does look like melanoma but can’t say for sure without biopsy.

It’s on her vulva so potentially huge consequences if she needs invasive treatment to having a family.

I literally can’t stop thinking about it.

Hello spots sorry no-one was here, but that us what happens on this thread, we are either all nattering or have all just dropped off to sleep !
I can completely understand your worry about your dd. We don't stop that even when they get to adulthood do we.
I hope that she will have a great time and put her worries behind her until she returns from her break.
And you must try and do the same as there is nothing you can do until she returns. Hopefully your fears will be unfounded.
Please use us for support if you need / want. We turn up here eventually 💐

I had my tablet ten minutes ago. They are huge. I overslept so meds very late for me. As expected up all night panicking about taking it.

colly Thankyou for understanding. I've had some bad reactions in the past and it makes me afriad whenever I take them. You're right, I am hard on myself, everyone says that, but I can't stop - I've tried therapy and all sorts.

Anyway, I've a friend who is one of five and is younger brother was 25 years younger than him (he was the youngest), he was complaining to me one day about being a great uncle at 40 and I pointed out I felt more sorry for his brother who was 15! He told me how his parents had all their children about a year or two apart delibrately and then his mum got pregnant when she thought she was going through the menopause and, anyone who brings up the gap gets her wrath, especially, if they say he was an "accident"! I hope you can get your mind around it. Feel free to chat to us about it.

spots my battery went unfortunately. I was here then but my post explaining obviously didn't post so my apologies for that.

Hopefully your DD will enjoy her holiday.

It's hard, I know, for you to rest your mind from worrying about her.

Things can appear differently to what results say they are. I had a suspected melanoma, everyone saying that was what it was, which turned out to be nothing. They really can't tell without results.

If it is melanoma then hopefully it's been found quickly and treatment can begin right away. She's away for ten days - that's just over a week and a small amount of time, it's not like she's gone two weeks or even month, then perhaps it'd be different. Having a holiday, if, it is cancer might help her prepare for all possibilities.

So today as it’s so windy here I left Pinkrabbit indoors while me and the dc popped to the village shop, takes 15 minutes and by time I got back she had shredded me a pile of newspaper she is allowed to shred it but so much of it so soon! She’s innocently cuddling dh now
