Hello owls, How is everyone’s weekend going?

They had the village festival here today, so we’ve been at that. Weather wasn’t great, it’s been one of them annoying days too humid for a coat but you have to wear one because of the showers. We did have fun though, and the WI ladies make fab cakes!

I’ve got strawberry and cream baileys for tonight, who knew it even existed

Baileys do a lot of different flavours now I've noticed!

Got meds today, nearly didn't bother. Glad I did as I saw someone I've not seen in awhile.

Friends funeral tomorrow - it's over lunch so I cannot go, but I've a card for their wife.

Hot here today, though it's cooler now I'm back, which is annoying! I've swollen feet from heat I assume and walking back my bra decided to undo itself! I'm not of a size whereby I can get away without a bra without people knowing or it causing me pain have fan on now so hoping to cool off a bit now am back!

Hot here at moment too and I also thought it was very humid last night. I could hear thunder in the distance, but it didn't develope into a storm or anything.
I don't hardly ever drink, but I have a liking for Tequila rose which is also a strawberry flavour shot !
Becca glad you got whatever you needed at the shops. Pink hope your children are ok about the rabbit, will you get another one or not bother for now ?
Anyone heard from Fatty I hope she is doing ok. Just having a mad hour to hoover and get rid of some of the dust, where the hell does it all come from ! Dh is down the garden cleaning the filters in his pond.
That is one thing I will never be doing, there are thousands of little red worms breed in the filter sponges ugh ! Still shows the pond is healthy I suppose.
Oh well back to my hoovering, just had to empty my bag, it was absolutely full, don't know how it was still picking up to be honest !
I am not house proud, but do like it reasonably tidy.

Today was the party... Tie-Dye with 15 5-year-olds in the garden. 2hrs of utter chaos, but I think everyone had a good time. I've spent the evening microwaving (to set the dye) & rinsing out the T-shirts they made. They're currently all in the washing machine which is the scariest bit. If I've done anything wrong then they might all come out brown I put a whole pack of colour catchers in just in case! I'm hoping they'll be dry by morning and DD can take them to school to hand them out.

Not quite so hot here today. Yesterday was muggy and windy and rainy and horrible. Today it rained for 10mins an hour before the party, and then another 10mins an hour after the party - phew!

Lin No we aren’t going to get another rabbit, As much as I loved PinkRabbit we had her pre dc and only had her as she wasn’t being treated well by her owner she was kept in a shoe box by a student in a 1 room uni accommodation (there was a no pets rule) , so the girls parents asked if we’d take the rabbit. Really rabbits like being in pairs, so we’d have to get 2 and no guarantee they would be ok with the dc stroking/playing with them. It’s something for when the dc are older.

How are you finding love Island I can’t get in to it this year?

It’s been raining a lot here!

I managed to get done all I needed to today, it had a not very nice ending but I'm trying to be grateful that I got out and got help when I needed it.

I miss pinkrabbit too.

Still at least pink still has me living behind her sofa to help her eat up cake and yummy things. I won't be licking furniture for the polish hit though or going anywhere near kale!!

I'm watching love island Pink but I don't have anyone that I can pick out as a favourite yet. I have no doubt it will improve as it goes along. Wonder why Sheriff has gone ?

I think my fridge might have broken. There's no way landlord can access to replace it due to severe clutter and rubbish (collection now once a month) and I can't bend down without collapsing and if it needs replacing I must pay for a new one. It's hot here so food'll go off quick.

I thought maybe I'd left the door open after last thing last night (bad night) could it be that?? but nothing seems to be cold in there three hours later and defrosting. I'm really really panicking now as I've no money to replace the food I just bought and can't afford new rent or cleaner.

Honestly I've just had enough.

Becca It could be that you left the fridge open all night, sometimes if it has been left open a while it takes a while to get cold. I’d turn the fridge up a bit (should be a numbered dial in the fridge) and not open it for a few hours.

With food in the fridge I’d still eat it just use your common sense, like milk/yoghurt that kind of stuff your smell if it’s off. Raw meat would be the only thing I might not risk but mainly as I wouldn’t want sick dc.

it appears ok now. I'm still struggling. I'm on a support thread for heat and someone keeps going on about being grateful for it and I should just hide it but it's the closest I have to support in the summer. Literally no one else gets how terrifying being hot is for me. Been ill again this summer because apparently our weather is different to everywhere else (hot yesterday morning and this morning though it got cooler).

I’ve been for afternoon tea today with mil at a garden centre, lovely it was. I’ve been to some fancy places for afternoon tea and this £14 one was better!

Yes it’s sandwiches but the onion chutney was sweet

I once went for high tea ( still not really sure what it is to be honest) but the cake stand had things like pork pie and Scoth eggs on it, I thought the world was ending after that.

Curtains You can’t go wrong with Krispie cakes, so simple but always tasty.

pink I got the butter / marshmallow ratios so wrong, so these are very buttery Krispie cakes... in my defence I don't have any scales here. They're so yummy though
