Ooh you lucky thing ! I love the way it squashes up. Is it a ready sliced one or one you cut yourself ? My dh hates it so I can have it all to myself !

Mummy Yes I've had to end it. For many reasons, but the final straw was him saying "I do love you but you know you love me more than I love you, don't you?"

Charlottesshoezzzz · 13/10/2018 00:29

It's the one you cut up yourself so you can erm adjust the slice thickness to suit your mood. I have 8 huge packs of it now taking up all of my cupboard! It is very nice indeed.

Powerless · 13/10/2018 00:30

Totally destroyed me. Heartless bastard 😢😢😢

Charlottesshoezzzz · 13/10/2018 00:30

@Powerless that sounds cruel & hurtful what he said. Was it said in a nasty wanting to hurt you way or just a matter of fact?

Powerless · 13/10/2018 00:32

Charlotte Very very matter of fact. That made it even more cruel. He doesn't understand what he said wrong! He said "Well you show your love towards me a lot more than I do to you" - I don't get his point?

Mummylin · 13/10/2018 00:33

Well I'm sorry to hear that, it's always so upsetting when a relationship comes to an end. Have you been together long, do you have children together?

Charlottesshoezzzz · 13/10/2018 00:34

From every relationship you learn something, whether it be spotting warning signs, what you want/need/like from a partner, what you are willing/not willing to put up with/ tolerate.

You will never be in a good position to meet right people for you whilst you are with a wrong un xX

I don't know you or your situation, just offering a handhold & some worldly advice please don't take anything I've said the wrong way ( I've had a heart of steel from dating ) it hurts Thanks

pinktransit · 13/10/2018 00:35

Can I join in please?

Hugs to Poweless - breakups are hard, I'm so sorry,

My dd2 is in hospital today - 32 weeks pg, baby not growing. Being monitored, and if no change, possible c section within 48 hours. Currently 1.1 kg estimated weight, so really tiny.
I just wish I could make everything better.

Powerless · 13/10/2018 00:35

Mummy No but I already have a 3yr old who has met him and adores him!
I loved him so much but he'd been single for 10 years before me! So he was just completely incapable of showing affection or anything. As much as I adored him, it was like being in a relationship with a lamppost

Mummylin · 13/10/2018 00:36

Is he a man who rarely shows any feelings ? Could it be that he means that you show him that you love him, but he dies care but dosent / can't show it ?

OP posts:
Powerless · 13/10/2018 00:38

Charlotte No no I agree. I just honestly thought I'd found the one! I've never been able to be so open with anyone before. My daughter loved him. My family liked him. Everything else about him was amazing. He was lovely. Just messed up when it comes to emotions :(

Mummylin · 13/10/2018 00:38

Dies = does

Charlottesshoezzzz · 13/10/2018 00:39

@Powerless sounds like the guy maybe struggling with showing human emotions or something of the sort... maybe as he's been single so long.

But it can't be nice to be in a relationship with an emotionless lamp post .... sounds like it's his loss hun ....

Powerless · 13/10/2018 00:40

Mummy Maybe, but the fact he's so unaffectionate, refuses to kiss besides a quick 'peck' etc etc (and has issues in the bedroom dept!) Just got too much. Plus I see him twice a sodding month for one night at a time. Sometimes two if I'm lucky! Oh and he sulks and ignores me for 24 hours if I ever say anything wrong!

Charlottesshoezzzz · 13/10/2018 00:41

Oh I've had the boyfriend that struggled with emotions. Hence why he is now an ex. He drove me up the wall & I ended up putting a stiletto through his brand new 50 inch new flat screen tv Confused been there done that. Would avoid that type like the plague now.

Powerless · 13/10/2018 00:41

Thankyou Charlotte & Mummy

Apologies I went off on a bit of a tangent there I just needed to rant! X

Powerless · 13/10/2018 00:42

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! Thankyou, I needed that laugh!

Care to elaborate slightly?!

Charlottesshoezzzz · 13/10/2018 00:43

I'm sorry but it sounds like he isn't ready ready / capable of serious dating

Mummylin · 13/10/2018 00:46

Helloptransit I'm sure you must be very worried about your dd. But all I can say is that she is in the best place. Did they estimate the baby's weight at all ? I'm sure they will take good care of your dd and her new little one. I understand your worry as it dosent matter what age our children are we still worry ! My kids both adult with their own families now, but I still worry !

@ powerless.... well... he kept me dangling on a string saying we would get married in 5 years time, could never tell me he loved me or make any actual plans about us living together. The final straw was when he returned from Afghanistan ( army lad ) & his camp had been hit by a missile so he was lucky to be alive as it landed not far from him. So here's me expecting the L bomb word upon his return from near death experience & all I got was the same old shit- tears & bullshit ( his way of avoiding discussing our future) so like a mad woman I lost it & said tell me you fucking love me or the telly is getting it ... got nothing except more tears & excuses so the telly got it Confused surprisingly we split up shortly after that.

Powerless · 13/10/2018 00:50

Charlotte Shock**
Could he possibly have had a bit of PTSD do you think? X

Mummylin · 13/10/2018 00:50

"Emotional lamppost " 😂
Actually powerless. It sounds like this could be the start of a better situation for you. You don't see him very often etc.
I am sure you are upset, but this feeling will pass. Someone out there is waiting for you 💐
