I'm struggling at the moment with MH issues that are refusing to let up and part of that is I'm struggling to see the good in the world.

It must exist so I'm asking MN to help me to see it.

So far today I have,

the lovely person who sent me a lovely pm today,
the patient at the pharmacy who went and picked up my meds for me so I didn't need to struggle and,
the person who told me they care.

So, what's yours?

Oh wow, some kids (and adults!) doing really well. Great news!

Becca19962014 · 12/09/2018 23:22

Thankyou all for continuing to share.
Today has been a difficult day.

I got out and saw some sun and heard birds.
Going to attempt an early night.

Keep getting outside Becca. Sunlight is good medicine.

Sitting with a brew getting ready to leave by 7 (ugh!) and doing my best to remember I’m lucky to have a job I like enough to get up at 6 for, and a family I love enough to not want to leave! Birdsong in the trees here too helping me to feel a bit more alive.

My lovely uncle sent me a pile of postcards to and from my late mother (his sister) from when she was in her twenties and gallivanting in Europe during the 50s and 60s.

I woke up well! Had a horrendous silent migraine yesterday and had to battle through it as I had an important three hour meeting with a new client. Thought I was going to throw up or fall over during it, rowed with DH, cried, crawled through another five hours with other clients, battled cancelled trains and traffic jams then went to bed and woke up fine and refreshed.
Health is bliss.

MinaPaws · 13/09/2018 08:45

Becca, lovely to hear about sun and birdsong. That's such a good way to balance out a hard day.
Hope today is good.

MipMipMip · 13/09/2018 20:48

I went to an owl talk. The little owl was tiny! Didn't get to hold them but was lovely and close- beautiful.

Three awesome exercise classes today and the instructors think we are great!
The sun has been shining and it’s been warm.
Bought DH a birthday present for his birthday tomorrow.

WhatsGoingOnEh · 13/09/2018 21:19

My son's broken arm is healing well, and his physiotherapist was LOVELY.

I put my freshly washed throw over an armchair downstairs and it looks and smells gorgeous. I'm snuggling on it now - bliss.

My house is spotless due to my Mrs Hinch obsession. 🤣

I'd been offered a terrifying job thing, but they emailed me today to tell me they're going with someone else. Which should be depressing, but I really 100% didn't want to do it, so it's good news really. They still sent me sample products, which are fab. 👍🏻

Becca19962014 · 13/09/2018 23:05

I hope you enjoyed meeting the owl mip

I went out today, meds and food. Am exhausted so off to bed once I've journaled.

Thankyou for continuing to post!

@MipMipMip Your owl sound s gorgeous.

DH and I stood and watched a tiny fox cub on its own in our garden. It was sunbathing on our lawn. I've never seen a cub before.

Had a really tough morning then out of the blue a friend contacted me to go to the cinema. That never happens. It was lovely.

I went to the hairdresser's where they give your fringe a trim for free! (Existing customers)
Took dog for a walk around the local fields in glorious sunshine.
Felt impressed with myself after I'd cut the grass!

AornisHades · 13/09/2018 23:53

My neighbour and I left our houses at the same time. She has a huge smile and she smiled at me and we chatted as we walked. Made me feel happy to live close to her as it always does. We're both a bit fragile on the inside but we put on a good public face.

SneakyGremlins · 14/09/2018 00:02

I grew this in my bedroom!

Becca will done love for keeping up this thread! You will get through this...

Today I'm grateful for having a warm and comforting auntie who has just listened to all my troubles and fears about life in general. Had a wobbly week leaving DD in Nursery... didn't expect it to affect me as much as it has.

Grateful for chance to rest by the fire listening to the sea and rain at our holiday home.

X

Becca19962014 · 14/09/2018 14:53

Sounds lovely nofilter.

I managed to get out which is my good thing. I got a bit of shopping. Struggling now though so reading the thread - another good thing!

I'm jealous of that fox cub Mina.

Finally went to the wood near where I moved several months ago. It's lovely! Really regreted waiting so long but I now have so many walks in front of me. MipHound had a great adventure there too.

Now snuggled under a blanket with a cup of tea. Tis a good day.

I've been offered a ft school hours job! I'm made up Grin & am going to email my notice when I get a second's peace to concentrate without the girls chattering in my ear!

Mitsouko67 · 14/09/2018 18:58

Feel better soon. Early nights a big help. Had a nice coffee with a colleague at 11am. Gave us both a lift. Making a conscious effort to engage with colleagues more. Once a week coffees one to one with people. Worth making the effort. Definitely helpful for MH and positivity.

Nofilter · 14/09/2018 21:00

Glad you got out becca what else did you do today? Reading any good books / watching any good box sets?

:-)

Becca19962014 · 14/09/2018 21:10

Nothing else aside from rest, not sleep. Can't sleep.

I know this sounds trite but is it worth going down a YouTube rabbit hole? Something like cats doing silly things. Just to distract you a bit.

Verbena87 · 14/09/2018 22:18

Blackberries in my porridge! We picked a load and froze them and now I just chuck a handful in and my morning is improved. It’s the little things.

Teaching lovely intelligent thoughtful creative teenagers who give a damn about each other and the world - gives me so much hope.

Coming home to a happy baby and cuddling on the sofa - his fat cheeks and dimples and infectious dirty laugh

Becca19962014 · 14/09/2018 22:25

I have had a look at YouTube. I'm on mobile internet though and don't want to end up using all my data. I've had some rather distressing things pop up on there recently anyway, despite using it for things like honing my cake skills.

MipMipMip · 14/09/2018 22:28

I'm finding this far too distracting right now. I just use random until I find one I fancy. m.sporcle.com
