Tell me about the good things that have happened today...

I'm struggling at the moment with MH issues that are refusing to let up and part of that is I'm struggling to see the good in the world.

It must exist so I'm asking MN to help me to see it.

So far today I have,

the lovely person who sent me a lovely pm today,
the patient at the pharmacy who went and picked up my meds for me so I didn't need to struggle and,
the person who told me they care.

So, what's yours?

Had a great game of ball with MipHound jumping on and off my bed. Ruining my mattress but so fun I don't care.

A few weeks ago I came across a filthy conch shell lamp we had in a box. Took an hour to clean but looked nice as an ornament. Last night I changed the plug (first time I've done that as plugs are all sealed units these days) and it works! Real surprise and looks great. Grin

I went to my appointment this morning. It was hard. I don't know if it's a good thing or not Confused

I got my meds which is a good thing!

Hope you feel better Cake have some cake on me.

Today took dd 3yr to second day at nursery. She told me last night she wants to go but she misses me when she does. Made me cry a bit as I was sure she wouldn't notice me gone.

What lovely things have been posted here.
Mine is that ds has been struggling in school so it has been a difficult last week, and everyone has been so kind and reassuring, even people I don't really know and people on mn.
Also there were birds singing in the trees as I walked home from dropping ds2 at school, which I don't usually notice!

Bought myself new undies & socks.
I did!
I had 4 pairs of undies to my name. I desperately needed new ones, went to primark and got myself some. It's been years and years since I bought myself something NEW, I'm dressed head to toe in charity shop clothes. All Bought years ago.
I feel SO decadent Smile

Sharing food with my one year old and watching him respond to new flavours and textures - his pink grapefruit face is excellent!

My parents came to visit me in my new appartment and my mother helped me paint some window frames. We also had really nice Indian take-out. It's always nice discovering things about a new town you live in.

I bit the bullet and booked my Guide unit's first residential . Then phoned the lovely lady back seventy bazillion times to double check things Grin

I'm quite excited, and a bit nervous...but in a good way I think.

I'm bumping this as I'm really struggling at the moment with dark thoughts (I don't want to go into that trying to keep this a positive thread, well as much as I can anyway).

Was watching the Florence Foster Jenkins film and there's a bit where people make fun of her. A woman whose down as the thoughtless floozy tells everyone off and gets them to cheer for Florence instead. I welled up a bit at that.

Someone told be Miphound's (flashing) collar was "sick". I think that's good!

  1. A jumper I ordered arrived and it's even nicer "in the flesh" so I ordered a second one in the other colour.
  1. A colleague who's been struggling with family issues was in a great mood for the first time in ages. I'd honestly forgotten how much fun she is.
  1. I've been enjoying the fact that I've seen Mars most nights this summer.

My partner and I told each other we love each other multiple times.

Went to therapy and engaged

Overcame dread and attended knitting group- success

I bought some M&S profiteroles - reduced from £3 to 30p.

I went out for breakfast with my daughter.

I wrote a chapter of my book.

Good things did happen, I think, I just can't feel them. They're getting lost.

Things like getting meds was a big deal for me, and later food. This thread is a comfort.

It's simply the "other" list is overwhealming.

The Samaritan I just spent an hour talking to about things I cannot say to anyone else. I guess that'll count for yesterday and today. Life's hard sometimes.

Am sitting listening to the wind howling. Going to have a low sugar hot chocolate. I had a good friend at school who would say there was nothing better when it was windy than drinking hot chocolate and snuggling in bed! I can manage that I think.
