Is there anything everyone likes?

Just looking at the John Lewis advert thread....I thought it was sweet but there are people who don’t...fair enough.

But are there some things that are universally liked?

For example

A kitten, who can’t like a kitten?
.
A walk on a crisp autumn day?

having a wee when you really need one
going to a loo not in your house and realising there is both paper and soap
going to bed after an exhausting day
receiving a postcard from a friend
being dry when there's rain outside
rainbows
duvets?

goingonabearhunt1 · 07/09/2018 12:35

finding a clothing item you love and there's only one left and it's your size and also on sale

JaneJeffer · 07/09/2018 13:03

I hate Dads Army!

delphguelph · 07/09/2018 13:05

Alan Rickman?

delphguelph · 07/09/2018 13:07

The smell of rain hitting the ground after hot, sunny weather

You mean when it dissolves all the dried in dog shit, piss and puke?

^^

I'd say that glass is half full.

SeekingClosure · 07/09/2018 13:17

Yy to a really good poo. I'm having one right now! Grin

thenewaveragebear1983 · 07/09/2018 14:35

Dowser surely hypochondriacs don’t enjoy good health????

ChuChuUa · 07/09/2018 14:51

Getting the Countdown conundrum when neither of the contestants have got it, nor anyone in the audience. Makes me happy anyway Grin

DemocracyDiesInDarkness · 07/09/2018 15:33

Ewwww no @delphguelph I couldn't bare his smarmy voice.

AlecTrevelyan006 · 07/09/2018 15:42

I don’t particularly like sleep

Ragwort · 07/09/2018 16:46

I loathe a 'lie in', I just want to get up and get on with my day. We are on holiday at the moment (3 of us sharing a room Grin) & it's really irritating to have to avoid disturbing others when I would love to get out for a beach walk at 6am!
Interesting comment about receiving postcards, I quite enjoy writing & sending postcards but it seems a bit old fashioned now & remember all the threads at Christmas when people say they hate Christmas cards & just chuck them in the bin. I now only send postcards to my elderly parents.

tobee · 07/09/2018 16:46

How about a good mumsnet thread? Which this is. Ok, now I'm really asking for it, aren't I?

pumpkinyael · 07/09/2018 17:16

Oxygen?

Was probably already mentioned.

pumpkinyael · 07/09/2018 17:18

@Ragwort

I love cards.

Post, Christmas, Birthday...:)!

NigelGresley · 07/09/2018 17:21

PIzza! Never met anyone who disliked pizza.

Sleeping in your own bed after being away from home.

When you’re really busy at work, the phone rings & it’s either a wrong number or a fax machine.

A wee when you’ve been busting for ages.

Spring!

Fresh air

ImogenTubbs · 07/09/2018 17:21

Titsywoo - my sister used to pass out when she laughed too hard. It put her off a bit!

ShatnersBassoon · 07/09/2018 18:08

I hate Dads Army!

Yeah, but not Private Godfrey. It's an undeniable, proven fact that everyone likes him.

MarshaBradyo · 07/09/2018 18:10

Getting a big present

A delivery from a shop you love

tobee · 07/09/2018 18:15

What if it's something you've already got? Then it's awkward

tobee · 07/09/2018 18:15

The present.

MarshaBradyo · 07/09/2018 18:16

Ha yeah maybe - just before you open it it’s good

Might might go downhill

Fuzzyend · 07/09/2018 18:27

Serena Williams?

9amtrain · 07/09/2018 18:35

There will even be people who don't like shopping and receiving presents, those against capitalism and consumerism or whatever the right term is! And Amish people maybe?

9amtrain · 07/09/2018 18:35

I'm none of those so I will gratefully accept any presents unwanted.

MrsZB · 07/09/2018 18:37

I don’t like getting presents.

I always feel a bit sad and guilty when I get a postcard.
