Is there anything everyone likes?

Just looking at the John Lewis advert thread....I thought it was sweet but there are people who don’t...fair enough.

But are there some things that are universally liked?

For example

A kitten, who can’t like a kitten?
.
A walk on a crisp autumn day?

Getting your own way.

Meet0nTheLedge · 08/09/2018 20:38

My DS doesn't like chips. I don't like KitKats.

Queenofmyownheart · 08/09/2018 20:39

Laughing. Who doesn't like laughing?! Hate kittens FYI 😂

Benjaminbuttonschild · 08/09/2018 20:44

Oxygen. Everybody loves that, surely!

Benjaminbuttonschild · 08/09/2018 20:46

Or maybe a really satisfying poo! Bet everyone loves one of those

Spudlet · 08/09/2018 20:52

A bargain! Who doesn't like getting a bargain?

Or a satisfying poop, yep, agreed, that must be pretty universal. Right?

MrsRespoDad · 08/09/2018 20:53

Huw Edwards

Being in the sea on a hot day.

Ifailed · 09/09/2018 06:34

Being in the sea on a hot day. Tell that to the women who fell off a ferry and spent 10 hours in the sea.

A rainbow is a sign of rain, not good news if you are in town and left washing on the line.

A bargain just means you've bought something previously at a higher price.

too much oxygen leads to cell damage and death.

Having a satisfying poo is nice, 'til you realise there's no toilet paper.

There will even be people who don't like shopping and receiving presents, those against capitalism and consumerism or whatever the right term is!

I hate shopping,it bores me rigid,I'd rather go for a proper walk or read a book. I don't like receiving presents either,I'd rather choose things myself and for some reason, presents make me feel obligated to give something in return - totally my problem.

iklboo · 09/09/2018 10:17

I hate shopping and I hate shoes & handbags. I have to make a wish list of presents I'd like or I'd probably end up with Lego and a jumbo car sponge. Grin

MongerTruffle · 09/09/2018 12:15

Being in the sea on a hot day.
That is my idea of hell. I hate the sea, and I hate the heat.

MongerTruffle · 09/09/2018 12:15

I hate the heat
(Except when it's cold outside and I put the central heating on. I hate natural heat. Grin)

TheGoddessFrigg · 09/09/2018 12:24

I used to be terrified of clouds as. a child #weirdkid.

And I don't like Judi Dench. But Father Ted! Surely nobody could hate Father Ted?

JustHereForThePooStories · 09/09/2018 12:27

Betty White?

LoisWilkerson1 · 09/09/2018 12:52

When I laugh, I pee myself. Angry

spiderplantsalad · 09/09/2018 13:14

Keanu reeves?
Pineapple?
Rain when it's been hot and dry and dusty for weeks?

TheKnackeredChef · 09/09/2018 13:54

I'm seconding perfect roast potatoes and adding the smell of new carpet.

Interesting how many of these things are smells, isn't it? Such a powerful emotional trigger.

Aridane · 09/09/2018 14:27

Never liked roast potatoes!!

Meet0nTheIedge · 09/09/2018 15:25

Nope, one of my DCs hates potatoes, even roast and chips.

neffall · 09/09/2018 17:14

Father Ted? Feck off! Jacobs Creek Chardonnay 1993.

NeffAll · 09/09/2018 17:17

Terry Wogan.

Everyone loves Terry surely?!

FaFoutis · 09/09/2018 17:17

Please nobody post the TW picture. I can still see it from last time.

Meet0nTheIedge · 09/09/2018 17:37

I couldn't stand Terry Wogan.

CrumbsInBed · 09/09/2018 17:45

A baby’s smile.

My 5 month old great nephew has the most gorgeous happy smile ever. It seems to light up his whole face. And his eyes twinkle at the same time....ooh, bless his cottons.

Anyway. As you were......
