I feel like I want to disappear into conspiracy theories on the internet. Can anyone suggest some please?
Some of my top faves are:
Finland doesn't exist
700-950 ad never happened
That big American airport with creepy murals
Titanic didn't sink

Checking in as I need the distraction.
Mine are all very tragic situations with no defining explanations....
Obvious one mumsnet doesn’t like us naming
The Casey Anthony case what happened to her daughter during that missing month
Amy Lynne Bradley - I have lost hours reading about this case her poor family
The disappearance of the Beaumont children is so desperately sad

Mine are more mysteries than conspiracy theories so might not fit the bill op

Oooo I love a good conspiracy theory!! The ones I know are 9/11 being planned and the moon landing being staged.

Two people have mentioned to me this week that the Roman wall in London is too pristine and made of modern brick work... so it must be fake. This then lead to my DM being adamant that the dark ages didn’t exist. So that’s come up independently.

What about the girl in an American hotel who went missing and her body was found in the water tank after guests complained about the water? The news story said she had come off her medication and may have had a psychotic episode but the conspiracy theorists say she was playing the elevator game. They still don't know how she managed to get up on the roof and into the water tank. The CCTV footage is weird and when you google the elevator game is pretty creepy!

I’m struggling to understand the dark ages one. Does it just state that the Romans were around longer than we thought? IamPickleRick the one who mustn’t be mentioned is the McCanns I think.

The dark ages one is just that there was less time between the Romans leaving and the Norman's coming than most people think. So our whole calendar is about 200 years ahead of where it should be.

All of that "cctv" footage and guff abut the lift and hotel was created to promote a hollywood film called "Dark Water".

The suicide guy in the suitcase is creepy. I remember watching it on the news when he was discovered. My mum claimed a propos of nothing that William Hague had something to do with it (he was foreign sec at the time).
