Anyone else can't sleep? I didn't go to bed til 1ish last night, but I've already been awake over an hour.

DDog is horrified that I'm up so early (and it's raining here).

Where I am it's 2 hours til grade boundaries released (which I still don't totally understand, but we're hoping for low) and 3 hours til she gets her results. Kettle's on.

Bloody brilliant keep you must be so proud! I’m welling up just hearing about all your children’s results.

KeepServingTheDrinks · 23/08/2018 09:34

Waves at Cherryminx

Well done scrumplepaper. That's super.

Fantastic Martha. OMG - cautiously - they seem to be doing quite well. I haven't heard the news today. What's the national picture?

I'm sat her waiting to take my daughter in for 10.30 and I'm so nervous. She missed ALL of yesr 8 and 9 and has managed to take Maths and English language after doing just 2 hours a week for year 10 and 11. Please let her have passed - 4's will do so she feels she has achieved something she tried to take control of.

LadyWarleggan · 23/08/2018 09:38

@Ozyman Flowers hoping for good news for you. I know what that level of anxiety is like.

KTyoupigeon · 23/08/2018 09:40

Oops posted too soon.

Well done to all your children the pressure on them has been immense . Congratulations to everyone who has achieved great results

busyboysmum · 23/08/2018 09:42

BTW my son also got a 3 in French which has amused us all as my brother who did terribly in his O Levels but went on to be a high earning IT bod offered him £100 per mark below a C. So I've texted him to say he owes him £100!!

Aargh. I’m sitting in the car outside school. DS has been in there for EVER, I have seen kids come and go. He’s a terrible chatterbox so I have no idea if he is gassing away to his mates, jumping for joy or cooking up excuses.....

2morrowiscancelled · 23/08/2018 09:51

I'm a nervous wreck, DS (with asd) is absolutely fine Shock
He calmly told me what is there to be nervous about when he did the exams weeks ago Hmm

Don't get ours here until 10:30...

Chocolatecake12 · 23/08/2018 09:52

My ds got 7’s in double science maths and English lit
6 in Spanish and 5’s in the rest.
So proud!
Good luck to every one else xx

ohtheholidays · 23/08/2018 09:52

Our DS has just got his results(DH dropped him of at school so he could collect his results with his girlfriend)and they've both done well Smile

DS Has got what he needed for college so were over the moon and his girlfriend has got the highest grades possible on all of her exams which is a massive relief as the whole of her family have put so much pressure on her bless her.

Congratulations Keepyour DD must be made up bless her.

Good Luck to all of those whose DC are still waiting for they're results.

Solomonbitestheworm · 23/08/2018 09:53

Ah pigeon I feel your pain, same here to a much lesser degree, missed most of year 10 and start of year 11, really hoping for passes. Best of luck to your daughter

TheHobbitMum · 23/08/2018 09:54

Bugger DD got a 5 in German not sure it's high enough for a level she wanted, got 8-6s on rest though. Haven't spoken to DS yet

Derekmorganwasinmybed · 23/08/2018 10:00

Still waiting it’s killing me

busyboysmum · 23/08/2018 10:01

Ds's girlfriend got a call from her school last night to come in early for a photo shoot (not the same school as ds) so he knew last night that she had done well - which was a little added pressure bless.

KeepServingTheDrinks · 23/08/2018 10:02

Well done Chocolate.

So sorry Hobbit. Hopefully the school can talk her though her options now? Those seem like really bloody good results, though. From what DD was telling me, everything 7 and above is an A

Well done to everyone who has their results back already. They all sound like they’ve done really well Smile

I’m sitting in the car outside the school whilst dd’s just gone in. She’ll take far longer then is needed just to wind me up but have family nagging me for her results to keep me busy

summermeadows · 23/08/2018 10:38

My Ds's envelope is sitting looking at me, he's at work so I'll have to be patient!!

He doesn't seem too bothered, it's just me worrying for him. He's not sure if he wants to go back for A levels or do an apprenticeship.

ElfrideSwancourt · 23/08/2018 10:49

She passed everything! So relieved and delighted shocked she passed German Smile
Main thing is she has done well enough to do the A levels she wants to do.

Derekmorganwasinmybed · 23/08/2018 10:55

Well I’m in shock,my dd was predicated 7/8s but decided she wasn’t going to revise so she thought she had failed everything but she got 3 7s and 6 bs and getting a remark on her maths as she was 3 marks from the next grade

Cantchoosenickname · 23/08/2018 11:19

Your dcs have all done fantastic Flowers

My dd has not got anywhere near what I expected, she seems ok about it though so I’m keeping my disappointment hidden. She got onto the course that she wanted so that’s a positive, I’m just worried that she’ll struggle as she just scrapped onto it.

KTyoupigeon · 23/08/2018 11:41

I'm so proud of my daughter - she went into her school (which she hasn't been to for nearly 4 years) on her own and collected her results. She took foundation maths and got highest mark 5 and English language she got 6. She is happy and I'm so proud of her xx

Chocolatecake12 · 23/08/2018 12:02

KT that’s fantastic.
It’s been worth the stress of the last year, all the nagging to revise, knowing when to step in and offer help/chocolate and when to step back and bite my tongue. All our children have done and We are rightly proud.

sashh · 23/08/2018 12:29

Great news KT, congratulations to all proud mums on supporting your children and congratulations to all the students.
